Singers wanted for the Easter Vigil Choir!
The Vigil of Easter is the culmination of the service of the Three Days, which begins on Maundy Thursday. This powerful service, held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, is a journey from darkness to light, and is the first of our resurrection celebrations. All ages are welcome to sing in the Vigil Choir! The only rehearsal is at 5:30 preceding the 7:00 service. Please RSVP by contacting Sam at slong@redeemer.org.
It's Palm Sunday! Join us at Rejoicing Spirits as we prepare to walk together through Holy Week. Our April service will be Hybrid. Music and Arts Camp – “Welcome to the Jungle” – June 13-17 Registration is now open. Rising kindergarteners through 6th graders will have a wild time with music, art, drama and more! The camp is from 9:00 am-4:00 pm, with free before and after-care. Tuition for the week is $165 and includes all activities and a t-shirt. Sibling discounts apply, and financial need-based scholarships are available. All are welcome, so tell your friends and neighbors. We had a BLAST with our friends from Lutheranch and singing silly camp songs with the Dad band on Sunday morning at Camp Sunday Sing and Play! Ranch Rangers This Spring One Saturday per month Lutheranch is offering a new program called Ranch Rangers for families on Saturdays: At Ranch Rangers, you and your family will embark on a guided hike where we will explore the Georgia wilderness of Lutheranch! Meet our farm animals, learn about a different nature topic each month, enjoy a craft or special activity, and as parents/guardians we will learn how to best support our children in independent play-based learning. Vacation Bible School June 6-10 Redeemer is planning on in-person VBS this summer (fingers crossed). We will meet each morning, Mon- Fri June 6-10 with Covid precautions as appropriate at the time. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer after-care, so campers will need to be picked up at lunchtime. Our VBS planning team will be working out all the details, and we could use your help! Faith Formation Confirmation
Confirmation is an important step in the spiritual journey of our youth. Confirmation Class will meet hybrid on the following Sundays in April: April 3, 10, and 24. We will not meet on Sunday, April 17.

Middle School Parents Class
Middle School Parents Class meets on Sundays once a month from 10:00 am10:45 am. This class meets hybrid on Sunday, April 3. This is a great opportunity to meet with other Middle School Parents and learn what is going on in Confirmation too. High School Sunday School
High School Sunday School meets hybrid on Sundays from 9:30 am-10:45 am. If in person, we meet in the Youth Lounge. Come catch up and discuss what is going on in our lives with other High School Youth! We will be following along with the Faith Lens Curriculum. We will not meet Sunday, April 17. Come disconnect and reconnect with us on Sunday, April 24. We miss seeing your faces in person! This is a great opportunity to catch up with other High School Youth and take a break from screens. Graduates receive a blessing during 11:00 worship, followed by a reception in Sims Atrium. We congratulate graduates of all degrees and ages – high school, college, even doctoral grads! Pastor's Class | Beginning Wednesday, May 4th Book Discussion: C.S. Lewis’ The Great Divorce Do you believe in heaven? What about hell? What do they look like? While not pretending to have any “inside information,” C.S. Lewis imagines a bus ride from hell to heaven. On the way, he masterfully leads us into a meditation on the natures of good, evil, grace, and judgment. While reading the novel is not required, it will enhance the class discussion.

Sunday Morning at 10 am Beginning April 24 Ed Scherlacher will teach a class on the role of women in the early church. Wednesday night dinner returns Wednesday Night Dinners are returning to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer! We will return to serving Dinners to our members, our friends at Lutheran Towers, and the community beginning Wednesday, May 4th from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM throughout the month of May. The schedule is below: Wednesday, May 4th Wednesday, May 11th Wednesday, May 18th Wednesday, May 25th In spite of rising food costs, we will maintain our previous meal pricing during this “soft opening period.” The soft opening pricing is below: Adults $7.00 Children (under 10) $5.00 Seniors $5.00 Please be aware, that there will be changes to the meal service. Recently ten (10) employees and volunteers successfully achieved ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification. As a result of this training, we will implement process changes to ensure proper food safety and compliance with the public health code. FAITH FORMATION Keystone Ministry Heads to the Theatre Keystone Ministry is offering discounted tickets to Redeemer members of all ages to see Jesus Christ Superstar at the Fox Theatre the week after Easter. Tickets are only $40 for Redeemer Members (valued at $60).

March Gladness- Each and every March all eyes turn towards Colleges and Universities for March Madness, sadly Georgia Tech and Georgia State have been eliminated however Grace House is still dancing. Grace House is the Lutheran/Episcopal Campus Ministry that serves the campuses of Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Emory, and Agnes Scott here in Atlanta. We call it March Gladness because our hearts are full of gladness and joy because of You! Our siblings in Christ! The Goshen Valley Foundation has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2022 honor by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. For the 2022 rankings, 4,583 companies were nominated or asked to participate. Out of 87 small businesses, Goshen Valley is ranked number 16 among the Top Workplaces in Atlanta. We are grateful to the 81 full-time employees at Goshen Valley who felt that we were deserving of this recognition. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization: including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few. “More than ever, we strive to create environments where our staff experiences a certain sense of purpose in their work. The idea of just coming to the office has never fit our culture, more so we emphasize the impact of being of service – not only in the lives we have been entrusted to provide care for but for one another as well. I find that people are often surprised by the size of our organization. Over the past four years, Goshen has grown by nearly 50% with today 80 or so full-time employees. We are selective in the process of adding talent to our team and have been successful at keeping our turnover low in a season where there is almost an expected staff fluidity due to the economic state of things. To truly lean into our mission of providing peace and purpose to children and families at risk Goshen has to ensure that our staff is healthy, engaged, and equipped to perform their roles well.

The 115 kids in our care have had family come in and out of their lives previously, and Goshen wants to ensure the staff and foster parents that work with them are in it for the long haul. The vulnerable families in need of mental health services coming to Goshen can know that their caseworker and therapist will be better equipped to get them back on their feet. Prospective foster families who are considering making a life-altering change to bring kids into their home know that they will have the training and support of a great team that will be by their side through the journey. This announcement means a great deal to the team at Goshen Valley, and we are excited about the ways that it will impact our youth and families as we work to create generational change in the lives of families and foster youth in Georgia.
