A MESSAGE FROM TIM MACKRILL THEATRE MANAGER Dear Friends, We are very pleased to welcome back Paul Holman Associates at the Palace Theatre to present Redditch’s traditional family pantomime SNOW WHITE The original story of Snow White is taken from a 19th century fairy tale written by the Brothers Grimm. As with most fairy tales there is a moral to the story in this case it is “Vanity will not take you far, but kindness will”. With a fine cast, excellent production team, special effects, splendid costumes and scenery, and good old-fashioned slapstick, we feel that this pantomime surely has something for everyone. I hope you all join in the traditional audience participation: “Oh, yes, you will!”, “Oh, no, I won’t!”. Cheering on the good guys and booing the baddies. On behalf of the company of Snow White, Paul Holman Associates and all the team at the Palace Theatre, I would like to thank you for coming and I hope all those enjoying the special experience of their first pantomime will be back for next year’s production of Sleeping Beauty. Paul Holman Associates Producer Paul Holman Associates (PHA) is one of the leading theatrical management teams in the country with a reputation for presenting high quality, family entertainment. Over the years, PHA has produced summer seasons, musical plays and children’s shows, as well as educational musical theatre and drama workshops. In all its activities, PHA is committed to keeping traditional family entertainment alive and vibrant. In the 2020/21 season, PHA managed to produce productions in Worthing of The Night Before Christmas (December 2020) and Pinocchio (May 2021). Lee Latchford-Evans Prince Louis Lee, who was born in Chester and raised in Ellesmere Port, attended the Laine Theatre Arts School in Epsom, where he trained in Musical Theatre, Acting and Dance. He is best known for his role in the pop phenomenon, Steps. Lee has travelled the world with the band several times, hitting the top of the single and album charts in the UK, Japan, Australia, continental Europe and achieving significant success in the USA, where the band toured extensively with Britney Spears. Despite announcing their split on boxing day 2001 Steps got back together in 2011 with the successful TV shows Steps Reunion and Steps on the Road. Steps have remained together to this day, releasing album after album and a succession of sold-out arena tours.
Steps have achieved numerous awards, including the prestigious Brit Award, Attitude’s Icon award and have sold in excess of 22million records worldwide. Steps are now making history by becoming the first British mixed gender group to achieve a No1 in four consecutive decades. Lee’s theatre credits include Ade in A Charmed Life Comedy Trials (London’s West End), Nikolai Nikovsky in the musical Eurobeat Moldova (Edinburgh Fringe), Bob in Rita Sue and Bob Too (St Helen’s Theatre), Tristan Farnon in All Creatures Great and Small (national tour), Teen Angel in Grease (London’s West End) and Christian in Wolfboy (Edinburgh Fringe). During the hiatus of Steps and between acting roles, Lee co-created his own commercial rock band called The Latch and toured up and down the UK playing at rock festivals and live acoustic gigs around London. On television, Lee has taken part in reality shows, including The Games, The Match, Fear Factor, I'm Famous and Frightened, Celebrity Pointless and Celebrity Hit List, and won the competitive SAS-style programme, Commando VIP. He also made a guest appearance in Crossroads (ITV). On film, Lee appears as Casper Warrington-Boothe in Cash and Curry, Harris in Ten Dead Men, Matthew in Junp the Rails, Young Man in Reality Knocks, Jason in Dead Ringer and Nathan Brown in Paintball Massacre. Lee, who has a passion for fitness, is a qualified personal trainer, a 2nd Dan black belt in Kickboxing, owner of LLE Fitness and creator of The 5678 Method. Lee is pleased to back with PHA, having previously appeared in the leading roles in Chesterfield, Redhill, Rickmansworth and Worthing.
Andrew Fleming Muddles Multi-talented Andrew has been described as a ‘singing Peter Sellers’, comedian, mimic and a strong vocalist with a warm stage presence and rapier-like wit. In his shows, he inhabits the personas of countless celebrities from Keith Lemon to Kenneth Williams, from Tom Jones to Amy Housewine, complete with costumes and parody songs. His Sinatra concerts have been lauded as among the most authentic yet heard. Andrew performed in and wrote for the satirical News Revue (Canal Café, London) and has just enjoyed the leading role in a darkly dramatic play in Edinburgh. He excels in physical comedy as an energetic principal comic in pantomimes, and is Frank of ‘Frank n’ Stein’, an hilarious live musical parody show featuring 25 authentic vocal impressions. He has been a firm favourite for Warner since 2011. Andrew is a busy voiceover artist, including being the official Scooby-Doo for Europe and providing all the principal voices for the Angry Birds stage show. He joined the original cast of Bob the Builder, voicing Bob while Neil Morrissey was indisposed, and imperceptibly blended his voice with those of Ant and Dec’s for Engie Benjy. He doubled as the voice of Peter Kay for the Roary the Racing Car live show. A showbiz secret is that Andrew has provided the recorded singing voices for certain well-known ‘names’ (who shall remain nameless) to mime to onstage. Andrew won the viewers’ vote as impressionist on The Big Breakfast and performed comedy mimicry on BBC TV’s Weekend and Speculate, also reaching the finals of BGT as a particular favourite of David Walliams, and Ant and Dec. He co-wrote and took the leading role in a BAVA-winning film and has performed on Radio 4 comedies. His voice can even be heard calling bingo in clubs all over the UK in the guise of many celebrity callers! As a scriptwriter, he has written for Shane Richie in Run the Risk (BBC1), Hangar 17, and for AGT winner Paul Zerdin. As a songwriter/musician, Andrew has written the scores for theatre versions of TV shows, including The Mister Men. He is also a convincing John Lennon in Beatle tribute bands. He is pleased to be back in Redditch with PHA, having played the role of Philippe Philoppe here last year in Beauty and the Beast and in Chesterfield the previous season. In his own words, “When playing Flip-Flop in Beauty and the Beast, I fell in love with The Palace and all the fantastic people who make the place so special…and cannot wait to meet the brilliant Redditch audiences again – as Muddles this time, Flip-Flop’s even more unhinged English cousin!”.
Simon Howe Dame Dolly Dolittle Simon is a third generation dame, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Sylvester Stuart, and father, Len Howe, who also played pantomime dame. An established West End artiste, Simon has played three roles at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane: Billy Lawler in 42nd Street; Moonshine, the pirate, in The Pirates of Penzance; and Shy Boy / Aggie in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. His other West End work includes Caleb in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Prince of Wales), the Jailer in Swan Esther (Young Vic), the Captain of Kopenick in The Cherry Orchard, and Macbeth (all at the National Theatre). Simon has also played Will Parker in Oklahoma! (national tour), Caleb in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (two national tours and at the AlexandraTheatre, Toronto, Canada), three different productions of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Kes (Theatre Royal, York), Kismet (Connaught, Worthing), and three Royal Variety Show command performances. Simon’s television and film appearances include The Pirates of Penzance, Scum, Burke and Hare, Striker, The Squad and The Tomorrow People, and, as a small boy, he played a role in The Girl who was Death in The Prisoner. With PHA, Simon has previously appeared in Beauty and the Beast (here at the Palace last season), Jack and the Beanstalk (Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield, and here in Redditch), Snow White (Palace Theatre, Redditch; Harlequin Theatre, Redhill; Oakengates Theatre, Telford; and Pavilion Theatre, Worthing), Aladdin (Spa, Bridlington; Spotlight Theatre, Hoddesdon; Carriageworks, Leeds; Marina Theatre, Lowestoft; and Palace Theatre, Redditch), Jack and the Beanstalk (Watersmeet, Rickmansworth) and The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan (Palace Theatre, Newark, and Pavilion Theatre, Worthing).
Georgina Combes Snow White Georgina graduated from Masters Performing Arts College in Rayleigh, Essex, having previously completed her training at Dance Industry Studios in her home town of Littlehampton. She developed her love for pantomimes and musicals from an early age ever since playing the role of a rat as a five-year-old in Cinderella. Since graduating, Georgina has appeared in The Spooky Halloween musical in Tunbridge Wells, completed two UK tours as Cinderella in Once Upon a Princess. This is her third production with PHA, having previously played the title role in Cinderella in Folkestone and last year in Leeds. She comes to Redditch, having recently been working with Merlin Entertainments.
Emily Barnett-Salter Queen Grizabella Emily trained in Musical Theatre and Acting for three years at Reynolds Performing Arts. Aaron Bixley Hillman, the Henchman Aaron won a scholarship to study at Guildford School of Acting. Some of his acting credits include Chief Weasel in a musical version of The Wind in the Willows (Talking Scarlet); Tom in Table Manners, Don’t Look Now, Stone in The Business of Murder, and Rev Arthur Humphrey in See How They Run (all Ian Dickens Productions); Orestes in Electra (Phoenix Arts, Leicester). Claudius in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (Jersey Opera House), Ludovico in Othello (Nottingham Playhouse) and Fleshlumpeater in The BFG (Warwick Arts Centre); Mozart in Amadeus, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew and Claudius in Hamlet (all with the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival). He previously directed productions of Oliver! (RSC’s Courtyard Theatre), Find a Partner (Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, The It (The Bear Pit), The Fifteen Streets (Darlington Civic Theatre) and Jack and the Beanstalk (Stratford Play House). Aaron, who lives in Stratford-upon-Avon, is joint Director of Stratford Youth Theatre, a theatre company for young people. He enjoys scuba-diving, Prefab Sprout and walking his beloved dog, Flo. Aaron is delighted to be working with PHA again, having played Baron Hardup in Cinderella at Carriageworks Theatre, Leeds, last year. He recently directed the sell-out production of The Clopton Ghosts (The Bear Pit) and Downfall of Don Jose (Longborough Festival Opera). He has also just completed filming two episodes of Queenie (Channel 4).
Alexandra Lonsdale The Forest Fairy Alexandra trained at Dancebox Studios and Theatre Works. Since graduating in July, she has spent the summer working with Josh Wharmby and Pop Up Global. Last year, Alexandra made her professional debut as part of the Ensemble and she is excited to be returning to the world of pantomime and stepping up to a principal role with PHA .
Sophie Baker-Brown Ensemble Sophie is in her third and final graduating year of training at Performers College in Birmingham. Her credits while training include performing at the Opening Ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games. She has also performed in two in-house productions with Performers College at the Birmingham Rep Theatre. She is delighted to be performing with PHA in her first professional pantomime.
Tom Elsmere Ensemble Tom is in his final year at Performers College. His credits while training include Lucentio & Bill in Kiss Me Kate and Dancer with Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Penguin Café dance performance project.He is delighted to be making his professional debut in Snow White.
Bethany Hibbert Ensemble Beth is in her third year of training at Performers College in Essex, where she is completing a degree in Musical Theatre and Dance. She is delighted to be making her professional pantomime debut with PHA at the Palace Theatre in Snow White.
Toby Rowlands Ensemble Toby is in his final year of training at Performers College Birmingham. This is his first professional pantomime and is delighted to be working with PHA in at the Palace Theatre, Redditch.
Madeline Smiles Ensemble Maddie, who comes from Liverpool, is in her third year of training at Performers College in Essex, where she is completing a degree in Musical Theatre and Dance. She is delighted to be making her professional pantomime debut with PHA at the Palace Theatre in Snow White.

PETER DAYSON Director Peter has worked as an actor, director, producer and writer for fifty years. He is delighted to be back for yet another pantomime with PHA. This season, he is also directing PHA’s production of Snow White in Leeds. He started his acting career in repertory, performing in many plays all over the UK (including Bath, Birmingham, Chesterfield, Nottingham, Manchester, Edinburgh and Swansea), including All My Sons, Charley’s Aunt, Death of a Salesman, The Glass Menagerie, Journey’s End, Macbeth, The Merchant of Venice, Monday after the Miracle (West End) and Night Must Fall. He also performed in many musicals, including national tours of Hair (Berger), Godspell (Judas & John, the Baptist), Grease (Danny), Happy as a Sandbag, Rainbow Man, The Wizard of Oz and Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (as Joseph, also Hong Kong) and With a Little Help from My Friends (West End). His TV appearances include Sorry, Blake’s Seven, Doctor Who, Stanley Baxter Picture Show, Three of a Kind, ’Allo ’Allo, Squadron and Stig of the Dump. For many years, Peter has worked in pantomime as Dame, Writer and Director (including the award-winning Goldilocks and the Three Bears at Wolverhampton Grand), working with such artistes as Bernie Clifton, Charley Drake, Paul Henry, Frankie Howerd, Hinge and Bracket, Little and Large, and actors from Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Home and Away and Neighbours. On television, Peter has appeared in Sorry, Blake’s Seven, Dr Who, Squadron, ’Allo, ’Allo,, Three of a Kind, The Stanley Baxter Picture Show and Stig of the Dump. Peter was Executive Producer and Writer for the Disney Organisation in their TV production of Aladdin, starring Frank Bruno, Eamonn Holmes and the Disney presenters. He subsequently worked on Disney’s charity event, hosted by Ted Rogers, at the Duke of York’s Theatre in the West End. His many productions as Director include Boys in the Band, One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Fatal Attraction (Nottingham), and the award-winning production of Gorilla in the Roses (West End). For seven years, Peter was Artistic Director for the Shakespeare Festival Season at the Gatehouse Theatre, Stafford, where his productions included Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Taming of the Shrew, as well as seven pantomimes. Peter works as a Producer, Director, Writer for the International Community Crossover Project, with productions at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Drury Lane, and the London Palladium of Godspell, Hair, Oh! What a Lovely War, Inspiration, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and musicals that Peter has written (Strawberry Fields Forever, Strawberry Fields Forever More, Synergy Street, Inspiration, Class and Sing). His production of Inspiration for the London Palladium subsequently appeared at the Olympics and Paralympics. Peter co-wrote and collaborated on the hit single ‘Streets Ahead’ with Rob Davis and, with his own production company, produced Sing!. He co-produced An Evening with Helen Sharman (Lincoln Cathedral) and produced, directed and wrote Hazlewood Legends of the Castle (Hazlewood Castle). Peter is also an adjudicator for the British and International Federation of Festivals, currently working on the Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Canada Festivals.
DANIELLE EVERDELL Choreographer Danni trained at Performers College. She has worked on X Factor, The Voice, Strictly Come Dancing, Britain’s Got Talent, The Brits, National Television Awards, MTV, The Special Olympics (Abu Dhabi), Let's Dance (BBC), Frank Sinatra: Our Way (BBC), Sunday Night at the Palladium, T4 On the Beach (Channel 4), Paul O'Grady, Children in Need (BBC), Loose Women (ITV) and Daybreak. Artistes with whom Danni has worked include Katy Perry, Take That, Nicole Scherzinger, Kelly Clarkson, Ellie Goulding, Little Mix, WILL.I.AM, Olly Murs, One Direction, Marina and the Diamonds, Professor Green, Will Young, Duffy, Ally Brooke (Fifth Harmony), Keala Settle (Greatest Showman) and Nicola Roberts (Girls Aloud). Her corporate shows and advertising clients include Nike, Adidas, Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, Paul Smith, IKEA, L'Oreal, Rimmel, Argos, Cadburys and Nickelodeon. Danni’s choreography and directing credits include Cirque du Soleil, Royal Caribbean, TUI, RWS Experience, MSC Cruises, Marella Cruises and many events all over the world.
SAM DANDO Musical Director This is Sam’s eighth year working for PHA and he is delighted to be returning to the Palace Theatre.
Sam trained at the University of Southampton, graduating with a BA in Music. While at University, he studied both classical and jazz piano with his studies culminating in a performance of Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years which he musical directed and produced. He was also involved in many shows, including Fame, Little Shop of Horrors, Parade, 13, Guys and Dolls and Merrily We Roll Along. A freelance musician and musical director, Sam works as a musical director for Headliners Theatre Company and Royal Court Theatre Company, the in-house production companies for P & O Cruises and Cunard. His other engagements include Top Hat (SilverBlue Entertainment), Seussical and The Full Monty (Theatre Royal, Winchester), Kinky Boots (The Haymarket, Basingstoke), Legally Blonde (Plaza Theatre, Romsey), Jess Robinson: Impressive (Pleasance, Edinburgh Festival Fringe), Tomorrow, Maybe (Edinburgh Festival Fringe), Loserville (Camberley Theatre), Soul Music (Rose Theatre, Kingston), Urinetown (Plaza Theatre, Romsey), Little Shop of Horrors (Theatre Royal, Winchester) and Macbeth (Edinburgh Festival Fringe). When not working on musicals or pantomimes, Sam works as a session musician, choral director, arranger, accompanist and audition pianist.

MATTHEW GREEN Percussionist Born in Norfolk, Matthew attended Colchester Institute School of Music, where he took A-Levels and subsequently graduated with a BA (Hons) degree. He later achieved a Post Graduate Diploma in Performance (Distinction) at Birmingham Conservatoire. During his education, Matthew was a member of the Britten-Pears Orchestra for six seasons, performing as Principal Timpanist for five of them. Matthew immerses himself in a wide range of music, from Baroque to Rock. He also plays with big bands and jazz ensembles in the Midlands and London, and in the studio recording for rock and pop artistes. The many orchestras and ensembles with whom he has played include City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, C18th Concert Orchestra, English Symphony Orchestra, Alina Orchestra, Birmingham Opera, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Nash Ensemble, Endymion Ensemble and the Bach Choir. His theatrical engagements include work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, at Shakespeare’s Globe, Talking Birds and West End productions (Jesus Christ Superstar; Abba, The Show; Thriller Live). In the field of world music, Matthew collaborates with Eastern and Western musicians, and has worked with Ravi Shankar, the UK’s leading nasheed group SHAAM, and on the west coast of Ireland’s folk scene. In 2016, Matthew performed at HM The Queen’s Service of Thanksgiving for her 90th Birthday at St Paul’s Cathedral. He is also a workshop leader in the UK and overseas, coach on summer music courses and director of drum clinics throughout the UK. Matthew is the founder and MD of the drumming charity, Palace Drum Clinic (www.palacedrumclinic.com), a monthly drumming club, making world class drummers and percussionists accessible for all.
