Tribal Council Represents Redding Rancheria In washington D.C.

Last week our honorable Jack Potter Jr., and Jeremy Hayward were representing the Redding Rancheria Tribal Government at the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) in Washington D.C. where Congresswomen Sharice Davids of Kansas, and Deb Haaland of New Mexico were present at the 25th Annual Women’s Honoring Luncheon.

Theresa Channell Redding Rancheria

Theresa Channell has been a registered nurse for nearly 30 years and currently holds the title of Nursing Supervisor at Churn Creek Health Care. Twenty-five of those years were spent working in the ER, and the remainder has been as Nursing Supervisor for Redding Rancheria. Theresa expressed with a great deal of passion her love for Redding Rancheria, as she feels the clinics offered by this organization are filled with only the most competent health care professionals around. During her time at Redding Rancheria she was given the opportunity to spearhead a great deal of groundbreaking projects to improve the quality of patient care alongside a wonderful team of nurses and doctors. A few of these projects include a Disaster Preparedness training in partnership with Shasta County Public Health, and Stop the Bleed training, a national campaign. Prior to working with Redding Rancheria, Theresa Channell took the lead in creating the Sexual Assault Response Team program at SRMC in partnership with One SAFE Place, a non-profit that caters to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. This is a big deal for Shasta County provided the unfortunate statistical significance of those impacted by sexual assault in our local vicinity.

Theresa’s focus and dedication to Redding Rancheria’s Health Care Systems and the community overall is admirable and appreciated by Redding Rancheria. Thank you Theresa for all you do!!

Paul Richard Davis, DO of RRTHC Redding Rancheria

Dr. Davis of the Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Center has worked with Redding Rancheria for more than 20 years. He is dedicated to serving patients at the clinic because he feels Redding Rancheria is a great employer, in that employees are treated very well compared to any other organization in Shasta County. Dr. Davis has taken the lead in partnering with UCSF to teach classes on how to treat Hepatitis C. According to Dr. Paul Davis the cure rate is 97%! Job well done, Dr. Davis! We appreciate all you do for Redding Rancheria and our Health Care system.

Redding Rancheria Head Start Annual Box Car Race Redding Rancheria

On February 21st Redding Rancheria Head Start held its Annual Box Car Race. The kids and their parents did a great job creating amazing cars and raced like champions.

Go Red Luncheon Redding Rancheria

Redding Rancheria is a proud sponsor of the 2020 Go Red Luncheon. This year we hosted a booth to collect more Support the Tribe signatures, and handed out swag in support of the great educational initiative Shasta Regional Medical Center hosts every year. This year the theme was Discover Balance: Body, mind, and soul. Three dynamic women had the opportunity to share with those in attendance the importance of balance in our everyday lives. We are happy to support organizations like SRMC in the community who believe in implementing worthy causes.

by ShiningCare, an organization that supports at risk elders with programs and services to improve quality of life measures in the later years. Redding Rancheria firmly and proudly supports our elders in the community. This year’s theme was Bring the Bling.
