Liz Romero

Redding Rancheria

Our very own tribal member, Liz Romero, has taken it upon herself during the shelter-in-place order to make nearly 800 masks for those in need- and free of charge! Liz Romero is owner of Hello Gorgeous, a local salon located in Anderson, CA. Like many other salon owners during this time, Liz was forced to shut down shop. Her initial response was one of panic, however, she has altruistically redirected her efforts to a worthwhile cause, and we could not be more proud! Liz Romero has donated masks as far away as Montana, and has donated to several hospitals locally and afar. With the help of Ginger Murphy, Paige Mayor, Ida Baker, and Jasmine and Dave Romero, Liz has had the support needed to make hundreds of masks. Liz said it all started with a Tribal elder, and from there production grew exponentially. Liz Romero has given masks to Labcorp, our Tribal elders, the Hope van for Shasta Community Health Center- just to name a few. By day Liz works toward her Bachelor’s degree in Business, and by night works tirelessly in the late evenings to produce masks. Redding Rancheria could not be more proud of Liz Romero and her altruistic efforts during this unprecedented era. We appreciate you!
