Year 11 Dance Workshop

On Tuesday the Year 11 Dance students engaged in a Contemporary Dance workshop with Sydney Dance Company artist, Siobhan Lynch. Siobhan took the class through a series of technique exercises and ended the session by teaching the group Company repertoire. This was particularly interesting as the choreography the students learnt came from the piece 'Forever and Ever' by Anton Hamilton, which they saw a few weeks ago on our excursion to see 'Ascent' at the Opera House. This was the perfect end to the whole experience and it was particularly satisfying to see our gorgeous dancers impress Siobhan with their focus and performance skill. Well done, Girls!

Instrumental and Vocal Competitions 2023

We encourage our students to spend the upcoming holidays refining and submitting their entries into this year's two major competitions - details are below!

All students are encouraged to take the term and school holidays to work on the piece of their choice for this year's Instrumental Competition, and submit an entry into this online event. All students receive written feedback, as well as RHAP points for Years 3-6. We look forward to watching and celebrating our students' work, and you can enter as well as read more at this link: INSTRUMENTAL ENTRY

There are separate categories for Piano, Wind & Brass, Percussion, and Strings.

We are pleased to advise that entries are now open for this year’s Vocal Competition (Unamplified). Footloose Has Wrapped

Our 2023 High School Production was an extraordinarily special event, with tears flowing and post-show blues setting in for Student Cast, Crew, Band and Wardrobe Team alike.

Thank you to all teachers who had a hand in preparing our students for this event which they will remember and treasure forever, as well as those who worked on the show, and a last big thank you to those who came and supported them as they gave their all onstage at NIDA.

Brava to our amazing performers, and see you next year!

Ballet Production 2023: Rêverie

Get ready to be mesmerized by the talent of over 100 K-11 Reddam House students as they showcase their skills in a triple bill ballet production at NIDA in Week 2 of Term 2.

The students will bring to life the beautiful compositions of Rachmaninov's Paganini Rhapsody, SaintSaens Carnival of the Animals, and Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. With their graceful movements and breathtaking performances, they will take you on a journey through the music of these iconic composers. This special performance, Rêverie, is a beautiful and dreamlike production that will transport you to another world. Rêverie, a French word meaning "daydream" perfectly captures the ethereal and otherworldly nature of this breathtaking ballet triple bill. So mark your calendars and get ready to be dazzled by the incredible talent of these young performers as they bring to life some of the most beloved compositions in classical music.

This is a performance you won't want to miss!
