Dear Parents and Caregivers, This has been a week of examinations for all except the Year 10 and Year 12 (2022) cohorts. The HSC examinations are in their second week with every level of Mathematics, Ancient History, PDHPE, French Continuers, French Extension, and Legal Studies being examined. Students remain positive and the curve balls that examiners are throwing at them are being picked up and dealt with well. Many of the Year 7 - Year 9 cohorts have enjoyed the new format of examinations and have commented on the ability to really focus on the preparation for a subject, having at least two days between each exam. Students were told that should they not have an exam

Great news for Reddam Soccer (football for the purists). Charlie Rule of the HSC Class of 2020 has been selected as part of the Matildas Squad to face the current FIFA Women’s World Cup champions at Stadium Australia in Sydney (27 November) and McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle (30 November). What is interesting for students to be aware of is that Charlie, in her HSC Year, was also a NSW Top Allrounder, achieving over 90% for each of her subjects. So an athlete and an academic. It has been suggested that students wear some purple in their ensemble. Congratulations to Natasha Green who has been selected to appear in La Boheme with Opera Australia, opening on 31st December at Sydney Opera House.

Art in Paradise 2022! Hamilton Island Art Retreat 8th April – 12th April 2022 Limited Places Available
Hamilton Island Art Retreat is an exclusive Art Retreat which is open to Elective Art students or students who are passionate about art who may not currently study art as an elective subject. Hamilton Island is one of the most magnificent destinations in Australia and Reddam House students are fortunate to be able to have the opportunity to work with the artist in residence and attend a private art lesson in the studio space on the island. The students will be involved in a range of workshops daily at different vantage points around the island such as drawing, watercolour, environmental sculptural and photography. This is an unparalleled experience to be able to create artworks in such a tropical and lush environment. Students will receive their own extensive art kit, full of materials for the trip. Students will stay in beautiful accommodation with full access to the beach and water sports. This is a must do experience for all artists!
