THE ASSEMBLY STATE OF NEW YORK ALBANY
DANA LEVENBERG Assemblywoman 95th District
April 29, 2023
The American Red Cross has organized tonight’s event, The Red & White Ball: A Night Under the Stars, to recognize those who have gone above and beyond to serve their communities and raise funds to further the important work of the American Red Cross in our area. I write to extend my congratulations to this evening’s honorees – Pam Farr, General Eric E. Smith, and the Greater NY Automobile Dealers Association.
General E. Smith, 36th Assistant Commandant of the United States Marine Corps, is being honored with the Exceptional Service Award for his many years of brave service to our country. Pam Farr, a volunteer, leader, and philanthropist locally and nationally for the American Red Cross and many other organizations that do excellent work in humanitarian services, the arts and education, is being honored tonight as well for her generous spirit. The Greater NY Automobile Dealers Association, which serves franchised car dealers in the New York metropolitan area and supports those affected by disaster, is being recognized for their corporate leadership. Congratulations to you all, and thank you for your service!
Thank you, also, to the Red & White Ball co-sponsors and host, Connie Anne Harris, Lauren E. Walsh, Stephanie Dunn Ashley, the MNYN Chapter CEO, for this signature event.
Sincerely,
Hon. Dana Levenberg Member of Assembly, 95th District

Dear Friends of The American Red Cross Metro NY North Chapter,
On behalf of the New York State Assembly, I am delighted to honor The American Red Cross Metro NY North Chapter on the occasion of its 2023 Red & White Ball.
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies, by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Headquartered in New York City, the Greater New York Region chapter serves over 12 million people in New York City, on Long Island, in Rockland and Westchester counties and in Greenwich, Connecticut. The organization has done a great job of responding to approximately seven emergencies and disasters a day across the region, providing shelter, food, clothing and emotional support at no cost to those in need.
The work of extraordinary members of the community, as well as local organizations, provide essential support that allows The American Red Cross Metro NY North Chapter to uphold its mission. Therefore, in celebration of their commitment to honor heroes in the community who rise above tremendous obstacles to help others, it is my great pleasure to recognize this year’s honorees, Pam Farr, who is receiving the Humanitarian Award, Greater NY Automobile Dealers Association, which is receiving the Corporate Leadership Award, and General Eric M. Smith, 36th Assistant Commandant of the United States Marine Corps, who is receiving the Exceptional Service Award
Thanks to The American Red Cross Metro NY North Chapter, and all its supporters, for your tireless efforts on behalf of our community. I wish you all continued success.
Sincerely,
Amy R. Paulin Member of Assembly

Dear Supporters of the American Red Cross,
The American Red Cross fulfills a vital role in the town of Greenwich, each and every day. It prevents and alleviates suffering in the face of disaster, and it's a true reflection of the humanitarian and volunteer spirit of the American people.
I am proud to support the American Red Cross and to acknowledge the hard work the Red & White Ball chairs - Connie Anne Harris and Lauren Walsh and their incredible committee that has pulled this vital fundraiser together for us tonight. I salute the efforts of the Board of Directors, led by Lisa Cooper and CEO Stephanie Dunn Ashley for keeping the mission, vision and values of the Red Cross in the forefront of their efforts. I congratulate all three honorees receiving awards this evening; General Eric M. Smith, USMC, Greenwich resident and philanthropist, Pam Farr; and the Greater New York Auto Dealers Association, as your support and work proves the length and service of the Red Cross.
Congratulations on 142 years of serving the American people with volunteers and staff that come out in the worst of times and lend that vital support to those in need. When a disaster strikes, when somebody needs lifesaving blood, when military families need to connect with their loved ones, or when you are providing critical CPR, aquatics and first aid training, the Red Cross is there for us.
Thank you for your dedication to all of us,
J Janet Stone McGuigan Selectperson, Town of Greenwich
