2 tablespoons butter 1 small onion, chopped 1 stalk celery, chopped 1 medium carrot, chopped 2 medium potatoes, cubed 1 medium butternut squash - peeled, seeded, and cubed 1 (32 fluid ounce) container chicken stock salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
6 ounces spaghetti 3 quarts water 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon butter 2 tablespoons chopped onion 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup ½ cup water ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese 1 cup diced ham 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley 2 tablespoons chopped pimento peppers

Melt the butter in a large pot, and cook the onion, celery, carrot, potatoes, and squash 5 minutes, or until lightly browned. Pour in enough of the chicken stock to cover vegetables. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover pot, and simmer 40 minutes, or until all vegetables are tender. Transfer the soup to a blender, and blend until smooth. Return to pot, and mix in any remaining stock to attain desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper.

I know that many of you will be celebrating Halloween or be allowing your children to go Trick or Treating. But do you know that Halloween honors Satan? It's not a christian event! Our God is a "God of the living, He's not dead" (Matt. 22:32) There many more falsehoods that Satan has planted in the churches and in the minds of God's people and believed among manyin the Christian Community. Examples of False Teachings: (1) Jesus wasn't crucified on a Friday, and rosed three days later, (a period of 72 hours) on a Sunday morning! According to prophecy, Jesus was crucified on the middle day of the wee (Wednesday) (Dan. 9:27). 72 hours from Wednesday would put the Resurrection on a Saturday, the Sabbath Day! Mark 16:1,2 & John 20:1 says "Jesus had already risen; and the Sabbath had passed early Sunday morning, the 1st day of the week" when the women arrived at his gravesite to anoint his body. (2) The Easter Celebration: Easter doesn't honor Christ's Resurrection. It is a pagen sexual festival, represented by fertile animals, rabbits and chickens. It honors the sex goddess Ishtar! It was a mixture of feasting, drinking and lewd sexual activities. According to the scriptures, people honored God and "rose up to play" (Exodus 32:6). (3) The Christmas Celebrations: Jesus wasn't born on Dec. 25th nor in the winter months. The ground would be frozen and most likely snow covered, no grass would be growing! The night he was born the shepherds were in the field watching over their sheep (Luke 2:8). Furthermore, according to the Bible, cutting down and decorating trees was a pagan custom (Jerimiah 10:1-5). I can plainly see why God told his people, (I hate, I despise your feast days" (Amos 5:21). He also said, "they're destroyed for the lack of knowledge" (Hoses 4:6). (4) The Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church: Most People, including Pastors and Sunday school teachers, believe and teach a Pre-Tribulation Rapture, but that's not what Jesus taught! He said it will occur, "immediately after" the Tribulation (Matt. 24:29-31).
