investigate within domestic environments. Her practice examines upholstery, ornament, and structural framing, carry psychological and cultural weight beyond their functional roles. In her works on paper, Davis extends these investigations through a series of gestalt landscapes that translate spatial tension into flattened, perceptual fields. By exaggerating scale, balance, and structural relationships, Davis transforms everyday domestic references into sculptural situations that oscillate between comfort and containment.
(b. 1990, Mahwah, NJ) is an artist living and working in Nashville, TN. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2014 from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Tufts University, Lindsy spent time in South Africa studying papermaking and printmaking at the University of Johannesburg. Lindsy has been included in notable group museum exhibitions with the Parthenon Museum in Nashville, TN, the Cleve Carney Museum of Art in Chicago, Illinois and with the Mint Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is featured in Soho House’s permanent collection, Four Seasons Hotel Nashville permanent collection, and several private collections throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, and South Africa. Recently Lindsy was an artist in residence at Vermont Studio Center and received a Robert J Spring Endowment for sculptors micro grant.
