Happy Start of Term 3 PAGE 14
It´s with great enthusiasm that I re-join the Early Years team at Newton College; this time as the Head of Early Years. The college´s strategic plan is super exciting to me, and I can´t wait to connect with each of you during my time here as we work towards achieving it together! This is actually my fourth return to Newton, since my first stint with them as a Kindergarten Teacher back in 2001, which shows you how much I enjoy being part of the Newton community. I come from a strong Early Years and PYP background and have been working as an educator for more than 26 years now, most recently at Dulwich College Beijing. Despite being very much a ´people person´, I also enjoy the research component of my career. I have previously carried out research for the IB and am currently working on a PhD. I love learning something new every day!
My welcome back to Newton has, so far, been amazing- getting to catch up with my friends from the different departments of the school, who all play such an important role. For those of you whom I haven’t yet met: I look forward to meeting you soon. To everyone else: I can’t wait to see you again soon, and I wish you a fabulous term ahead!
