The Campaign for Rectory The Campaign for Rectory is the result of a visionary and extensive Master Planning process, a process that we are transforming into reality. With this campaign and your support, we are furthering the core values and spirit of Rectory: responsibility, respect, honesty and compassion.

In the life of a school there are defining moments that forever embed themselves in the narrative of that institution. Now, as Rectory nears its centennial celebration, a moment like no other stands before us as we seek to recognize those most important to our students’ success.

We, the undersigned, have witnessed teachers changing the lives of our Rectory students in the most inspiring of ways. Now, thanks to the Tang family, the opportunity to acknowledge these individuals is before us. The Campaign for Rectory A transformational opportunity lies ahead as we enter the second phase of The Campaign for Rectory, a campaign comprised of two primary components: • The Annual Fund impacts every student and each member of the faculty and allows for Rectory’s enlivened curriculum. A strong Annual Fund is essential for a healthy and innovative school.

• The Tang Challenge is an extraordinary and historic opportunity for Rectory. A successful outcome will result in an infusion of $7.5 million towards endowment to increase faculty compensation.

Now is the time to further our success as we build upon the recent completion of the Campaign’s Phase I projects, in which we transformed several spaces on campus and raised the funds to complete new ones.

In Phase I, we also took the first step in addressing the most important aspect of Rectory—our people, by raising $1 million in endowment funds to enhance faculty salaries.

You can be a part of Rectory’s storied legacy, whether you experienced Rectory as a student, parent, grandparent or a friend. By participating in the Annual Fund or partnering with the Tang Family and the Rectory community, you honor over 95 years of teaching and learning. Together, we can ensure Rectory’s vibrant future.

The Annual Fund for Rectory

Your annual support keeps the Rectory legacy alive.

The Annual Fund is the lifeblood of Rectory School, supporting opportunities and resources beyond what tuition covers. These experiences are fundamental in giving our students and faculty the tools with which to establish and create their legacies at Rectory School— legacies that live on in our graduates for a lifetime.

The Rectory School Annual Fund supports each of the school’s three pillars—program, place and people, by helping to provide: • Professional development for faculty and staff • Facility and technology updates • Residential life programming • Classroom materials • Expansive athletics program • Our Financial Aid program Help us continue to provide the best opportunities for growth, leadership and legacy, by reaching our goal of $2.1 million in annual support by June 30, 2018.

ing challenge The Tang Family Challenge for Excellence in Teaching Largest Donation in Rectory’s History Is a Commitment to Our Faculty Oscar Tang ’53 and his son Kevin Tang ’82 have made a transformative outright gift of $2.5 million with a pledge of an additional $2.5 million—all to enhance faculty compensation and employee benefits. This additional $2.5 million pledge is in the form of a challenge, as the Tangs will match all gifts made by donors towards this endowment through June 30, 2018.

Meet the Challenge: 100% Return on Your Investment Once we meet the challenge, your donations, combined with the Tangs’ $5 million gift, will create $7.5 million in endowed funds to be used solely in support of our faculty. This transformational opportunity is a historic moment in the life of our school.

With this gift to our endowment: • Rectory will be better able to attract and retain the best educators • Rectory will provide a salary that more fairly rewards the faculty for their dedication and excellence
