The Parks & Recreation Department is now fully staffed with the last addition of the Eton Senior Citizen Coordinator, Josie Hinojosa! She was added to the full-time staff on March 11, 2024. She has proven to be a great addition to our team. We now have some projects completed and have started some new ones. The marquee signs are in at Berwyn and Eton Senior Recreation Centers, the bathrooms at Eton are just about completed, the new cement and pavilion are completed in the courtyard at Eton, doors have been replaced at both centers, windows have been replaced at

Berwyn, the blinds are being replaced at Berwyn, and boiler work has been done at Eton. These are most of the projects, but there are still more to come! We have also started construction at Van Houten Park! The project is slated to be completed by the end of July. We will have a brand-new community park for our residents to use. What is even more exciting is we are applying for grants for other well needed upgrades and replacements in our community buildings and parks. Stay tuned, as we continue to improve the quality of life for all of our residents by improving all of our facilities and parks!
