BASKETBALL SKILL DEVELOPMENT You can never practice too much! Take advantage of this class and boost your skills prior to the upcoming season. Our instructor will focus on your individual needs to work on lay-ups, free throws and other skills you might need to improve your game.

NFL YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE This 5 vs. 5 league, with teams of up to 10 players. Jersey and flag belts will be provided. Games on Saturdays; times TBD. Youth Sports FLAG-N-TAG MINI FOOTBALL CLINICS Beginner players practice fundamentals and various skills needed to play the game of football during this program. Skill specific drills will enhance ability and confidence each week. Youth Sports UK PETITE SOCCER UK Petite Soccer is an introduction to the world of soccer for 5-10 year olds using a gamesbased approach…providing every child the opportunity to develop motor skills, social skills, coordination and general athletic ability in a stimulating, motivating, educational environment. Activities include fantasy role playing and are designed to maximize the number of touches a player has on the ball. MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE Students will learn basic volleyball skills, play in six games against other league teams and participate in a tournament. Practice times held once a week and will vary at each site.

The Parks & Recreation Division will form teams. Games will be held at Tuscarora Rec Center during various times. Volunteer coaches are needed. Registration fee includes a team shirt and individual medal. The first games will start on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, between 12:00 - 5:00 pm.

Youth NEW! ABRAKADOODLE ONE-DAY HOLIDAY ART CAMP! Parent’s, enjoy calm quiet time to relax, restore your home or run errands as your child has fun creating two art projects and making friends. Children learn about American artist Norman Rockwell as they use tempera to create snowmen, then take a twist at multimedia using papers and materials to embellish with glee! Then we learn a decoupage technique as we create bare trees bursting with color. In between we enjoy activities and music. Please send a nut-free snack and drink.

KINDERDANCE LEVEL 3/ KINDERCOMBO 2 For the student who has completed one year (or at least four 6-week sessions) of Kinderdance Level 2 or Kindercombo Level 1, this program builds on the skills learned in prior levels. It is broken into 20 minutes of Ballet, 20 minutes of Tap, and 20 minutes of Creative Movement, warm-up and fitness, while blending educational concepts. CRASH COURSE IN ROCK GUITAR This course is designed for the beginner or early novice student of the guitar. Students will learn the fundamentals of playing the instrument, with an emphasis on Rock & Roll styling (from the roots of the genre to its newest expressions). Instruction will include fingering exercises, open string and movable chord forms and positioning, strumming and rhythm patterns, and scales and soloing.

Students will also be introduced to guitar tablature and the ability to read music.

Tennis PRESCHOOL QUICKSTART TENNIS A fun, fast moving introduction to tennis for toddlers. REFUND POLICY

If you want to withdraw from a program call 301600-2936. All requests for refunds must be made 2-weeks prior to the start of the program. A $4 processing fee will be charged for each participant per program refunded. All refund requests must be approved by the Recreation Superintendent.

Refunds will be issued according to the original method of payment. Registrations for trips that require pre-purchased tickets are not refundable.

RETURNED CHECKS

A $25 fee will be charged for checks returned for non-payment.

AGE POLICY

Program participants must be the advertised age for a program before the program ends. All age requirements are set to benefit the participants and to make the instruction consistent and safe.

DISCIPLINE

The Division has a discipline policy for program participants. In the event the participant is asked to leave a program/facility, no refund will be issued.

TRIPS ALCOHOL POLICY

We strive to have a family atmosphere on our trips. If you choose to drink alcohol while on one of our trips please do so responsibly and make arrangements to have a designated driver for your trip home from the bus drop off area.
