ature camp features lively outdoor adventures, interactions with our Nature Center animals, hands-on activities, games, nature walks, storytelling and crafts. Every week will include new adventures as well as weekly favorites such as catching critters and exploring the tributaries, meadows, and forests of Catoctin Creek Park! Please note that all activities are subject to change due to heat advisories or unsafe weather conditions.

*During Organized Free Play campers will have the chance to play with board games, toys, puzzles, read nature books, create nature drawings, and assist with the care of the nature center animals.

Calling all aquanauts! Stream walking, dipnetting, and tubing (weather permitting) are just some of the activities campers will enjoy throughout the week. Campers will get wet as they explore our beautiful Catoctin Creek!

Catoctin Creek is the perfect place to learn all about water! Campers spend the week using hands-on discovery to explore the aquatic world that lurks on and beneath the creek’s waters. We round out the week with a terrific tubing adventure (weather permitting) down the creek.

Whether it slithers or scampers, this camp is about all things reptile! Through hikes, games, crafts, live animal talks, and outdoor exploration, campers have fun learning all about our reptile friends here at the park.

It’s summer time and the bugs and butterflies are hopping at Catoctin Creek!

Campers will just love to take bug hikes, play silly bug games, make cool bug crafts and meet our buggy friends living at the Nature Center.

If your camper loves animals, they will love this camp! Campers will meet and care for a variety of Nature Center animals, search for wildlife in our creek and forests, create animal homes, participate in Animal Olympics and just enjoy all things animal!

CRAZY CAMOUFLAGE 2

Let your little camper become the master of disguise while learning all about wildlife camouflage! Campers hunt for camouflaged critters, play camouflage games, make camo crafts, and meet our camouflaged Nature Center critters.

Take a walk on the wild side looking for signs of critters throughout the park!

We will hunt for animal signs and tracks, sharpen our wilderness skills, meet some local critters, make cool critter crafts and just have plain ole’ fun time in the wild!

Your little naturalist will have a busy time exploring the lives of some of our most misunderstood creatures - insects, spiders, bees, reptiles, and amphibians! We’ll play creepy crawly games, make creepy crawly crafts, meet some creepy crawly friends, and just get crazy about creepy crawlies!
