Slopes expect a busy season Town Times report

Powder Ridge was scheduled to open for the winter season Wednesday, but the weather did not cooperate. So snow sport enthusiasts will have to wait until this weekend to hit the slopes at the Middlefield mountain park.

Throughout December, the WTIC NewsTalk 1080/Salvation Army Holiday Store at Lyman Orchards generated funds and gifts for those in need. “Pet Photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus,” held Dec. 10 at Lyman Orchards, also pulled in donations for the Salvation Army. Photo by Brett Bogdan

Opening day will now be Saturday, Dec. 24. Lifts will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Snow tubing is slated to start Monday, Dec. 26. See Ski slopes, A7
