Friday, September 16, 2022
New fair offerings include beer & wine tasting Press Release
The countdown to the 102nd Durham Fair has begun. Fairgoers can expect the same good, clean, wholesome fun that’s delivered each and every year, but now with some new features!
Wethersfield residents Debbie and Dave Forrest and their dogs Sadie and Yoda check out the high water on the Coginchaug River as two days’ worth of rain rushes over the Wadsworth Falls in Middlefield during their recent hike. Rain began falling Sept. 5 and continued through Sept. 6, dropping several inches of rain across Connecticut. The rain brought an end to severe drought conditions in the state. This will not help much with the end of the agricultural season, but it should help get things back on track to normal as we head toward winter, said Gary Lessor, meteorologist at Western Connecticut State University.
