To mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, each September, Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middlefield hosts an outing benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, while highlighting a local child who has battled the disease.

He graduated from the Connecticut State Police Academy in October 2020. He also served in the National Guard for six years. “My first official day was July 3, and it was a busy weekend,” Inglis said. “I got a lot of experience working out East in Colchester.”

This year, Lyman Orchards will honor the memory of Joseph Balducci, who succumbed to leukemia on Aug. 15, 2021. Joseph, a Plainville resident, was just 2 years old. See Golf, A5 Joseph Balducci.
