A greener Fall Festival kicks off Friday evening

IT’S ‘GO TIME’

The Cheshire Fall Festival is going green this year, thanks to the support of the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce and the generosity of a local non-profit, Generation Prime Education Foundation.

The Cheshire High School football team compiled a record of 6-4 in 2021 and graduated 20 players from that squad. A staple program at area public libraries, Christine Richards, youth services librarian at the Cheshire Public Library, said storytimes help children socialize, which is important for kids, especially now due to the pandemic.

“It’s a time to help socialize, which is so needed right now after going through the pandemic not only for the babies and the kids but also for the parents and the caregivers,” Richards said. “It’s hard being cooped up all the time and not having that interaction.” See Storytime, A13
