Supplemental Notice Pursuant to Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act
Dear Coordinator Fracasso and Mayor Dickinson: This letter is being issued to supplement our previous letter(s) dated January 31, 2017, and in accordance with any possible obligation under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, regarding Bristol-Myers Squibb's (the "Company") ongoing plan to close our Wallingford, CT site located at 5 Research Parkway, Wallingford, CT 06492 (the "Facility") by the end of 2018. We write to advise that, in addition to the employee separations at the Facility previously described in our prior letters, the Company also now anticipates that 3 employees at the Facility will be separated effective February 6, 2018, 7 employees at the Facility will be separated effective March 31, 2018 and 97 employees separated effective April 3, 2018. The Wallingford Facility closure and any employee separations resulting therefrom are expected to be permanent. The Company's employees at the Wallingford Facility are not represented by a union or any other collective bargaining representative. All affected employees have been or will be notified of their employment terminations at least 60 days before their terminations are scheduled to occur. Because the Company does not recognize bumping rights for its employees, terminated employees are not permitted to displace remaining employees based on seniority or any other factor.
