Welcome
In a rapidly digitising world where physical, digital, and virtual realities overlap, ODDS serves as the essential platform for presenting new solutions that address the evolving challenges of securing identities, documents, and transactions. Since 2019, this is the conference where cutting-edge research is revealed, debated, and refined, making it the must-attend event for those shaping the future of security in both physical and digital domains.
ODDS 2025 is calling for proposals that introduce research, technical solutions, and case studies related to document identity and transaction security. This is your opportunity to present ground-breaking research and showcase innovative solutions to a global audience of technical experts.
The Core Challenge
As society increasingly shifts toward virtual interactions, the security of identity and financial transactions faces new and complex threats. Are these vulnerabilities greater in the digital realm compared to traditional identity cards, passports and driving licences? How can we ensure equal or higher levels of security in virtual and digital environments? How do physical and digital documents coexist, and what are their roles in the global security landscape?
ODDS 2025 aims to explore these critical questions and more, offering a platform to unveil research that is advancing the state of the art in document security. The conference also serves as a vital forum to assess emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and hybrid security solutions that integrate both physical and digital components.
Why Present at ODDS 2025?
This is the conference where new research is revealed. ODDS is the definitive platform for unveiling breakthroughs in secured document and identity technologies. Whether you work in industry, academia, or government, this is your chance to present your research, showcase cutting-edge solutions, and engage in high-level discussions with other global experts.
Submission Guidelines
What to submit
● A 400-word abstract outlining your research or technical solution
● A 150-word biography detailing the qualifications and background of the author(s)
● Submissions must be in English.
● The Conference Committee will review all abstracts and provide feedback by early 2025.
We particularly encourage proposals from those who have not previously presented at ODDS to ensure fresh perspectives and new approaches are shared at the event.
Deadline for submission: 20 December 2024

Topics of Interest
ODDS 2025 welcomes research across a broad range of technical topics, including:
● Micro/nano structure-based security features
● Thin-film optics, substrate-based security (paper, polymer, hybrid, polycarbonate)
● Ink-based and other material security technologies
● Advanced barcodes, machine-readable systems, and biometric technologies
● Smartphone verification systems linking physical and digital identities
● Secure physical and digital government documents
● Virtual document security and biometric authentication systems
● Case studies on digital identity wallets and government-issued secure identities
● Artificial intelligence and machine learning in document and identity security
● Quantum computing’s impact on encryption and secure transactions
● Hybrid physical-digital security solutions (‘phygital’ security)
● Cash cycle support technologies and digital transaction security
● Cryptography, data governance, and secure digital wallets
● Regulatory frameworks, standards, and best practices for digital and physical document security
● Case studies on implementing security protocols across diverse industries. Papers may address technical innovations, strategic challenges, or both, and we are particularly interested in case studies or practical examples demonstrating how emerging technologies are being applied to secure documents and identities in the physical and digital worlds.
ODDS 2025 is where tomorrow’s security technologies are showcased today. Be part of the unveiling of the latest advancements in document and transaction security and contribute to shaping the future of security in a world where the physical, digital, and virtual increasingly intertwine.
