Astrology – Your South Node

Lunar nodes are points in the sky where the Sun and Moon orbits cross paths. These crisscrosses occur a couple of times per year during an eclipse. In Astrology, they are known as the North and South Nodes and will tell you the fascinating stories of your past and your destiny.

There is a lot of information we can gather from studying these points on our Natal Chart but today we are going to focus on the South Node c exploring who we were in our previous lives and highlighting past patterns and deeprooted feelings and memories. The South Node can expose what it is in this incarnation we need to develop or cycles we need to break, in order to evolve in to the powerful soul we are meant to be. We will explore the North node and our destiny in the next edition.

The North and South Nodes are always 180 degrees apart in your chart – that is, they are opposite signs. For example, if your North Node is in Aquarius, your South Node will be in Leo or if your North Node is in Gemini, your South Node will be in Sagittarius. This is also true of the House in which they are located. If your North Node is in your 1st House, the South Node will be in your 7th House and so on.

Dates: Jun 17, 1958 – Dec 15, 1959; Jan 8, 1977 – Jul 5, 1978; Aug 1, 1995 – Jan 25, 1997; Feb 19, 2014 – Nov 11, 2015; Oct 15, 2032 – May 22, 2033. The key lesson is allowing yourself to be vulnerable. I know, it’s hard! There is a good reason for this: your past incarnations have relied on your warrior spirit and sharp instincts. You’ve fought for your own survival in many arenas and in many battles. In this life, however, understanding that being gentle, accommodating or affectionate are not signs of weakness. Put yourself first as you need to, but remember that the Warrior is your past – now is the time to let love in.
