REBEL REVIEW Volume 18:2
December 7, 2018
Roncalli High School
The word Advent derives from the Latin word adventus meaning “coming”. This season is intended to direct our hearts and minds to Christ’s second coming at the end of time and to the celebration of Jesus’ birth on Christmas.
However, with finals, parties, gift buying, and decorating, the holidays can be a stressful time for many students. On page 4, two Rebel Review staffers delve into the mental health crisis, bringing awareness to the issue and resources for those seeking help.
Despite possible nerves, students can still enjoy the season by shopping for friends or enjoying Christmas classics. On page 5, staff writers offer gift ideas for buying on a budget and tell the tale of a timeless ballet performance, The Nutcracker. PHOTO BY ANNA BAUER
