All Eyes On Ruby February 2015

I am excited to be getting involved in the Suicide Girls as a performer and dancing at the Ballroom Blitz in Camden Electric ballroom early March. this club night will hopefully become a regular thing in London. I am so happy I got involved in SG and kind of sad I didn’t sooner... everything is meant to be though I suppose. February has been busy with a lot of preparation for a crazy March. Shoots, shows also a lot of self improvement; going to classes, practicing fire, making cosplay outfits - I will be able to show you all in March!

and had pretty much decided to quit. I think it's really easy to start doing things that are for other people and what you think people will like/want from you as a model, and on social media you end up not doing things for yourself as a person. You don’t realize you are doing it until you just don’t like shooting anymore or even the person you see in the photos. I feel really lucky that I have this new lease of life and I am happier as a whole person. If anyone relates to this and wants to chat message me on my Facebook page I am happy to chat to you. I did have a small shoot this month with my good friend Duane Joubert. We decided it had been to long and got together for some simple shots!

I also had a great shoot with Justine Louise Photography creating a gothic grunge look. It wasn't hard between us on this shoot as we realised how much black we both wear! I'm really happy with the results and these are some of my favourite photos of myself ever.

I am still attending Yoga going to the gym and have now added commercial dance classes in to my weekly routine.

Short and sweet this month ready for a hectic March!

Bad Girl

Banter Welcome to my first column in Rebelicious Magazine!

Have to say I am thrilled to be part of one of my fav alt mags. Thought I might start with a little about me so you can get to know me a bit better. I’m lucky enough to have the job of my jobs as an alt fashion, pinup and boudoir photographer. I’ve shot with many amazing models including Masuimi Max, Ulorin Vex, Morgana and Shelly d’Inferno, but still have a wish list as long as my arm. I also get to shoot with lots of wonderful ladies that are looking for that feel good experience and many of them have become great friends of mine to. You can expect to find out what’s going on, where I’ve been, some tips and tricks and all the fun stuff in between.

So I started this year with what was meant to be two restful weeks, slowly getting organized for the shoots ahead, planning tour dates and generally doing all the boring admin bits that I won’t bore you with! But I couldn’t do that; I was too eager to get shooting again, so got busy contacting my favourite models so I could start being creative and start shooting straight away.

I had a fantastic shoot with Romanie Smith and Tamar Leek for ‘I Am Sin’ cosmetics by Masuimi Max. We did a rock chick look, femme fatale and a really fun circus look which is under wraps for the time being.So excited to share them, so look out for those. The makeup range is really good and eye shadows are really pigmented, defo recommend them for all you MUA’s out there.

My lovely friend Claire of Claireabella’s Closet launched her leg wear range, which I’ll be doing the photos for later this year. They’re fab so check them out. Really cute stockings and tights, the alternative range to be launched soon.

I popped along to London Edge this year to see what that was all about.

Really great seeing all the new collections coming out and put a lot of faces to the names, I even bumped into Dominique - our lovely editor.

The after party was great fun too, but I have to say after such a long day, a burger and bed was the perfect ending.

By the time you read this issue, I will have had my ‘Bad Girl Bash’, a celebration of all the amazing people I have met and worked with the past few years, very excited to get dressed up and raise a few glasses with some fantastic people, so will tell you all about that next time!
