September 2014 Wow months have been flying by recently for me with so much going on in my family and work life.

Just after the last issue came out I jetted off to Spain for a much deserved two week holiday, that also included some shooting and adventuring in Portugal. I spent the first few days chilling out at the house and beach enjoying the hot weather, before driving over the border to Lisbon to meet up with some of the lovely Suicide Girls of Portugal and shoot a set with Staff photographer Alma.

I booked a lovely little retro themed room that accidently matched perfectly with the lingerie I had bought. The shoot was great fun and it was lovely to meet some of the girls. Shooting in Portugal was great as we had all the natural light we needed, which is sometimes hard to get in the UK! I then spent a day adventuring round Lisbon before driving to beautiful Sintra to see the Palace and castle high up in the clouds; Sintra is one of those places you always see photos of on Pinterest and is well worth the visit, it is beautiful.

As soon as I got back to the UK it was all systems WEDDING as my brother was marrying his fiancé in a weeks time in the Tower of London. It was an amazing day, everything was beautiful and it was so surreal seeing them get married in the tower!

The day after I got back I had promised to help my friend Candy Valentina get ready for her Miss Pin Up UK competition at the London Tattoo convention. We spent hours slaving over her new performance outfit!

Also my best friend Tea of Tea Cake art (http://www.teacake.bigcartel.com) has gone away to America and was rehoming some of her spiders so I am now the owner of Pablo the golden Knee Tarantula.

Now I am back from holiday and weddings it’s back again in the gym/yoga/ aerial and back on the clean eating I had been doing so well before the wedding. I have also treated myself to an instax camera and some other shooting goodies so you may see more pictures from me in the future as well as exclusive instax pics to buy.

Oh and I nearly forgot… MUST FINISH COSPLAYS! Where has this month gone?

Can you tell us about the journey you took to become a model?

I’ve always had a flair for the dramatic.

As a club kid in the Goth scene in my late teens and 20s I would design clothing pieces (mostly gowns) and collaborate with a seamstress to have them manufactured. I began doing photoshoots to showcase the pieces that I had designed, or sewn or handcrafted, and it just took off from there.

When you first started, did it turn out to be how you had imagined? Or did it surprise you in any way? I’ve worked closely with Janette Valentine, of Terribly Girly Photography, and I was very surprised and pleased with how open she was to the styling ideas and storyline aspects that I would bring to the shoots. It is always a pleasure to work with her and her team. I find that I have a lot to offer and like to control many aspects of the shooting process, and I usually devise a story behind each character I’m portraying. In many ways it’s like acting and directing, so I really have fun with it.

What are your favourite styles/ themes/concepts to shoot? I’m very flexible, so any aesthetic is exciting for me. I feel most comfortable shooting dark themes that may or may not contain menacing elements. For me it’s about creating an artistic piece where I am just one out of many factors that the eye is attracted to. The goal for me is not necessarily showcasing sensuality or beauty, but rather the telling of a story which leads the viewer into making associations and allusions from their past. I tend to wear corsets in many of my shoots (I’ve been wearing them for 20 years), and usually purchase them from different manufacturers and then embellish them myself. So I’m most comfortable with fetish and pin-up styles. These are the styles that I regularly wear for events or evening outings. I have so many fashion pieces (I’ve also been collecting these for quite some time) that I have a second closet just exclusively for storing these items.

Are there any styles of modeling that you would like to explore more? Since I’m very involved with the styling, imagery and theme in every shoot, I would definitely love to explore the lighting and post-production aspects of shoots. I would love to do more exterior shoots also, with natural lighting, as well as fantasy shoots with extravagant costuming and hair. The more dramatic, the better.

What was it like working with Janette Valentine on this featured shoot? It was an amazing experience because we collaborated so closely. We’re eerily on the same page, so to speak, on each shoot, so she can visualize exactly what I would like just from a brief conversation. Specifically for this shoot, some of the emphasis was on geometric shapes and curves, so there were many acrobatic poses that we tried. At one point I was holding all of my weight up on one arm and one heeled foot for about 10 minutes.

Away from the camera, how would you describe your own personal style? During the day my style is relaxed. I’m a manager by day so I’m either wearing professional or casual office wear. On most days I’m makeupfree also. When attending any event my preferred clothing period is the 1920s and 30s. I love long velvet gowns and fingerwaves. I’ll always be a Goth at heart so the darker looks from those eras are especially appealing and I try to recreate them as much as I can.

How has being a model affected your life so far? I have met many creative people and entrepreneurs that I very much admire because of their fearless approach to life and incredible talent. I have many friends in the Florida Burlesque scene and I very much admire these women for their creativity, intelligence and skill—not to mention their beauty. My father is a musician by trade so I have always felt at home with creatives, whether they are musicians, entertainers or showgirls.

With this issue being the Halloween/Dark Beauty issue, what’s your favourite thing 34 | Rebelicious magazine

about Halloween? Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, so it’s personally very exciting to be a part of this issue. Since I’m always creating and purchasing costumes and creating new looks, every day is like Halloween for me. I love this time of year, even though we don’t really have seasons in South Florida. I’m hypersensitive to changes in environment and energies, and this time of year certainly feels like the visible and non-visible worlds become somewhat intertwined. You definitely feel that there’s something in the air. It’s a joyful time for me.

What would be your top 3 costume ideas for a Halloween party? I dressed as Vampira (the campy horror-movie hostess played

by Maila Nurmi in the 60s) last year. In past years I’ve dressed as the Bride of Dracula. I’ve always been attracted to the vampy, femme fatale persona, so those costumes are easy for me. A scary clown would be my third option. When I smile the sides of my mouth literally reach from ear to ear, which can be very scary. I always have fun scaring people and their children.

What’s your favourite horror/ Halloween movie or TV show?

My favorite movie of all time is The Silence of the Lambs. I’ve read the trilogy by Thomas Harris numerous times and I’ve watched Silence… at least 50 times. It’s my go-to comfort movie.

The main character is a strong woman role, which is very appealing to me. It definitely struck a chord the first time I saw this petite and vulnerable woman metaphorically slaying demons. You don’t see the hero feminine in most movies, and this is a big part of the appeal for me. I’m a horror movie fan, so I’ve watched my fair share of horror movies (and spent college reading horror/fantasy and gothic literature).

When you first started out as a model, did you have any preconceptions on how the industry would be? Were there any shocks along the way for you? I literally knew nothing about this industry. I pretty much jumped in and have slowly learned along the way.

What are your favourite styles/themes/concepts to shoot? I really like dark gothic beauty, grunge, sexy, and alternative styled shoots.

Being a tattooed model yourself, can you tell us about some of your favourites and what they mean to you? I love every piece I have gotten so far. I can’t really choose between them because they all hold some sort of significance to me. My calf piece I found when I was feeling like I didn’t have enough time or I was waiting for time. Asking, was it the right or wrong time? Thinking about past and future choices... making the right one or wrong one. My left sleeve is about my career and my right sleeve is about my family.

Are there any styles of modeling that you would like to explore more? I would like to do conceptual and fashion editorial styles.

How has being a model affected your life so far? I feel like I have just begun to build a name for myself so it hasn’t too much as of now.

about Halloween? I can hardly handle going to any store. I’m so in love and want to purchase everything! I love seeing all the skulls, ravens, death, dark and spooky decor. There’s just so much greatness everywhere. I’m like a little kid at a candy store.

What would be your top 3 costume ideas for a Halloween party? I don’t even know… This take a lot of thought.

What’s your favourite horror/ Halloween movie or TV show?

There are so many of the classics but for the sake of this interview I always watch Beetlejuice. I also love that FX starts their new season of American Horror Story!

exposed but it becomes a learning curve in the end. Hopefully I’ll master it all one day!

Are there any pieces you’ve created that stand out as personal favourites? Hmm… I really love my “Undead Girl” collection.

They are 6 pin-up style girls that are all different types of classic monsters.

They are also color coded as a rainbow (ROYGBP). I think these girls really represent me as an artist; they are pin up beauties, with an edge of horror!

What has been your biggest achievement so far in your career? So far, hands down my biggest achievement is graduating college and starting work for Nickelodeon Studios. I won a contest through my school where they produce an original short based on my ideas and characters. We are working on it until the end of the year, and it should be released early next year. It is the best experience of my life, and I consider myself VERY lucky to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing company!

If you could create a commissioned piece for anyone in the world, who would it be and why? I’d create a piece for my favorite artist, Salvador Dali. I doubt there is anything that could shock him, but still, I’d have so much personal pride for creating something for someone who inspires me so much.

What initially sparked your interest in illustration? What/ who are you influenced by? I have grown up wanting to be an artist my entire life and have been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil. I have always loved art, but going to college made me realize I wanted to be an illustrator. I graduated with a degree in illustration, and I love everything about being an illustrator. I am influenced by EVERYTHING. I am influenced by my professors, my peers, famous artists, pop culture, horror culture, nature and the beauty of the human form to name a few.

For those that are new to your work, what themes/styles do you concentrate on the most? One

of my favorite themes is of beauty and death, two very conflicting ideas. My goal as an artist is to create something beautiful, something that pleases the eye, but my morbid attraction always sneaks into my work - usually in the form of skulls and bones and blood, haha. I love the contrast of the two together, the perfect blend of spooky and gorgeous. I also love pin up style gals and tattoo style artwork and am heavily influenced by them.

What have been the most difficult/challenging illustrations to create? Recently, I have been trying to master the art of digital painting, which has been quite a challenge. I think any time you pick up a new media it can be difficult to master,

Do you have any goals that you’re working towards this year? My main goal for the year is to establish myself more as an artist, and start looking into careers/jobs. I’d like to keep working with Nickelodeon and learn more about animation. As an artist, I think it’s important to constantly learn more and grow.

With this issue being the Halloween/Dark Beauty issue, what’s your favourite thing about Halloween? EVERYTHING! It is my favorite holiday! I love everything creepy, I love the atmosphere, I love the decorations, I love that I get a reason to watch scary movies and I love the candy! What isn’t there to love about Halloween??

What would be your top 3 costume ideas for a Halloween party? Haha, well my go-to is always a cat. I make a pretty cute cat. I also think group/couple costumes are super funny.

What’s your favourite horror/Halloween movie or TV show? Where do I start? I LOVE all scary movies, even the not-so-well-made ones that everyone makes fun of... But probably my favorite scary movies are the Silent Hill movies (and games for that matter).

I am also totally obsessed with Nightmare Before Christmas, of course.

claire seville For those that may not have heard or seen your work before, who is Claire Seville and what do you do? I guess I’m the photographer of Bad Girls! Ha! I’m very lucky as my job is my passion.

I spend my days shooting lovely ladies, having a giggle and playing dress up! It’s like I have my very own life size Barbie dolls that I get to play with and live out my darkest desires.

I really love what I do, feel truly blessed to be in this industry and to have such wonderful people that enjoy my work.

It’s been a little while since we last featured you! How has your photography work progressed since last year?

I’ve gotten a lot more experimental, playing with light and angles and really having fun with it. I feel my skill set has grown and this is coming out in my work as I am pushing my boundaries. I’m always learning on a daily basis and for me that’s one of things I love about what I do, I will never stop learning.

Are there any photographic styles/themes that you haven’t tried yet, but would love to have a go at in the future? I’d love to do some art erotica, inspired

by Guy Bourdin and Helmut Newton; I love the voyeuristic style of their work. I’m even going to be inviting some Gents to step in front of my camera, which will be a first for me.

So they’ll be something for you ladies to ogle at. You’ll be seeing a lot more mood evoking black whites from me, as well as some surprises.

cover feature What have been some of your favourite experiences during 2014 so far? Has anything out of the ordinary happened during any photoshoots? This year has been hard work, I’ve been getting my head down and getting on with it. I’ve had some fun with it though, I really enjoyed my shoot with Masuimi Max and Romanie Smith this year, both ladies are always a pleasure to shoot. Masuimi asked for a coffee and Rom’s Mom kindly made her one, just picking up what she thought was a white mug at the studio. When she picked it up to give it Masuimi, the mug had C**T plastered over it with the handle making the C. Like a true legend Masuimi laughed it off and even posed with it for a photo!

Rom’s Mom was ever so embarrassed, so funny though.

For the photoshoots featured you worked with the likes of Romanie Smith, Ruby Fortune and Whiskey Raven. What would you say was your favourite thing about working with these gorgeous ladies? They are all so grounded and wonderful to spend time with. I think it is really important to be nice if you want to succeed in this industry; when you can get on with someone easily the shoot is so much more enjoyable and it really shows in the work you produce together.

You’re currently in the midst of launching a new Youtube channel called ‘Bad Girls TV’.

What is this all about and what will it involve? Now that would be telling wouldn’t it?! This is taking a little bit longer to get off the ground than other things we have planned as we haven’t found the right person to film it, so if there is anyone out there that’s interested in working with us ladies get in touch!

As soon as we are up and running, we’ll be sure Rebelicious is the first to know.

exposed A lot of your work showcases very extravagant set designs, makeup and styling.

Where do you draw most of your inspiration from, and what have been some of your favourite designs that you’ve created? I draw most of my inspiration from my own imagination, coupled with a HUGE appreciation for ALL types of art!

I am constantly drawing inspiration from everything around me; movies, books, music, other stylists and designers, makeup artists and photographers. I think being a huge fan of art in general helps keep me constantly working and growing as an artist. Picking my favorite designs is hard because I realize I am really attached to most of my projects! Some are my favorite because we had such a fantastic time creating the shoot, like my mermaid shoot with Stephanie June, we literally laughed the entire shoot. Other shoots are like milestones in my progression, like my inspired by HP Lovecraft Cthulhu – that shoot was hard on so many levels, but the work pushed me to the next level.

What have been the most difficult/ challenging to create? I did a take on Elizabeth Bathory meets Silence of the Lambs with 6 naked girls with large gaping wounds, a garage full of slippery blood, 50 burning candles, and a “skin” dress I made by hand that was the hardest (and most expensive) thing I have created so far! Thankfully, I have the sense to always have a plethora of great artists on hand to help with these crazy ideas!!

What was the inspiration behind the featured photoshoot with Valerie & Bri? I had been toying around with the idea for a freak show themed shoot since I started House of Winter, I have lots of ideas, but the clown and the trapeze artist were two fully developed ideas from the beginning, so they have been bugging me to get out. Bri was always the model for the clown, and thankfully Valerie Shade is always down for a House of Winter adventure, and viola! This was a super fun shoot; we are all friends, so there was never a dull moment!

What inspired you to create House of Winter?

I have always been obsessed with Halloween and costumes and I found myself having much more fun styling myself and friends and taking pictures of our costumes then actually going to an event. In a perfect twist of fate, about 3 years ago, I met Kayleigh McCollum (Photography), whose conceptual work blew my mind. Then it dawned on me... THIS (House of Winter) is what I am supposed to be doing!

Has anything out of the ordinary ever happened during a photoshoot? Well if you believe in ghosts (which I do) then yes. I was shooting in an abandoned house with Stephanie June, and we were standing in front of this broken window, and my camera kept shooting weird (I was a beginner so that could account for the problems) and then I got a sudden and intense need to leave immediately, and Stephanie, who was feeling the strange change in the room agreed immediately and we got out of there very quickly agreeing that something had been going on in there. Later when I edited the photos, there is a shadow of what looks like a person on her skirt.

If you could do a shoot with anyone in the world, who would you pick and why them? My ultimate dream subject is Chino Moreno from The Deftones (also of Crosses, Team Sleep, and Palms). His music is such a HUGE inspiration to me, and has been such an important part of my personal and artistic landscape that he is definitely my dream subject – if I could shoot him playing an acoustic set of all my favorite songs… well that would pretty much be the perfect situation as an artist! I just saw him perform live with Crosses a few months ago – and the show changed my life!

With this issue being the Halloween/Dark Beauty issue, what’s your favourite thing about Halloween? Another difficult question! Hahaha! I love so many things… but I would say what I love MOST about Halloween is the celebration of being someone or something else for the day or night! I 78 | Rebelicious magazine

What would be your top 3 costume ideas for a Halloween party? After many elaborate costumes and awkward parties where I could not sit, eat, drink, or even breathe I now am a little more practical for parties! #1 Vampire! I am a firm believer that you can never go wrong with a pair of fangs!

Lots of option for types of vampires, my personal favorite is a sexy vampire! #2 – Steampunk /Victorian/Lolita girl – there is nothing more flattering on a woman than a well-made corset. Couple a corset with a long or short skirt and some accessories and you have yourself a costume that flatters all shapes. #3 – Dia De Los Muertos because there is nothing cooler than well done sugar skull makeup! I have worn a variety of outfits with sugar skull makeup, so it makes it easy to dress up or down depending on the party.

What’s your favourite horror/ Halloween movie or TV show?

The Hunger is definitely my favorite vampire film. But with that being said, I also have to say that my life would not be the same without Nightmare Before Christmas! Both movies have been a huge influence on my life and my art.

Finally is there anything you would like to say to our Rebelicious readers? I just want to say THANK YOU! It is because of all the fans of art that make what I do possible! What initially got you into photography? I was an industrial chemist for many years and really needed a change! I’d always been interested in photography so took a plunge and made a change!!

What inspires you the most when it comes to thinking of new concepts to shoot? Anything can inspire me. Usually a few glasses of wine and the ideas come flowing! Music videos and film especially really inspire me.

Are there any photographic styles/themes that you haven’t tried yet, but would love to have a go at in the future? I’d LOVE to try some underwater photography and also to shoot away from my very small home studio… maybe in an amazing chateau or stately home!

You’ve been going since 2008, how has the alternative industry changed during that time from your perspective? I’ve been a professional wedding photographer since 2000, starting Boudoir in 2008.

I’ve seen the most change in wedding photography as Boudoir is still a fairly new concept here in the UK. People are now more careful about where they spend their money and want discounts etc; I provide good value for money but never discount!

Your featured photoshoot with Ruby Fortune is incredibly striking, dark and edgy. What was the inspired behind the styling? To be honest, her hair provided me with the inspiration; it was such a fierce orange colour that it immediately screamed ‘punk’ to me!

This is quite a different concept for Ruby as she normally shoots in a pin-up style but I really like to photograph my models in new settings for them, it’s great for their portfolio and I get to play around with a fun theme!

Has anything out of the ordinary ever happened during a photoshoot? No. Not really! I’m very organised so everything always seems to go to plan!

If you could do a shoot with anyone in the world, who would you pick and why them? I’d love to shoot Lady GaGa, she is a crazy lady and I love that! I’m also hoping one day to shoot the amazing Ulorin Vex, I LOVE her look!

What advice would you give to any models wanting to work with you in the future? Get some amazing images in your portfolio - poor quality images really put photographers off - be very careful about what you show as your brand! Good manners are also very important to me, and some serious posing skills!

What else have you got planned for the rest of 2014 and beyond?

I’m very busy with client Boudoir shoots for the rest of year. I also have some amazing magazine shoots lined up for the end of this year with some incredible covers coming up!

Ally Richard of flair style lounge How long have you been a makeup artist for and what inspired you to take this particular career path? I have had a passion for makeup for as long as I can remember, and I began exploring techniques and products as early as 15 years ago. My professional career in makeup artistry began 6 years ago while obtaining my Cosmetology license at the Aveda Institute of Lafayette. I had the opportunity to attend advanced workshops led by Hollywood makeup artist, James Ryder, and was then invited to an exclusive boot camp help

everything around me. Makeup is a way to accentuate that beauty and create art from a human canvas. From the most simple makeup looks to complete fantasy creations, the transformation that happens when applying makeup is extremely rewarding.

What looks/styles do you enjoy creating the most? I genuinely enjoy every genre of makeup artistry.

I get the most enjoyment from the more challenging looks that require me to think outside of the box and try something new. The common thread in all of my work is that I try to add an element of beauty to it, even if it is a dark style, making it pretty in some way

always makes it a little more interesting.

Are there any styles you haven’t tried out yet that you would like to explore in the future? I have dabbled in some texture work, but would really like the chance to play more with those styles. Specifically high gloss and wet looks.

For the featured photoshoot you created a DĂ­a de Muertos themed look. What was your experience like with putting this together while working with Twin Sisters Photography and Tracey Ely? This Dia de los Muertos themed shoot was so fun. Candice,

from Twin Sisters Photography and model Tracey Ely were a blast to work with. Candice always creates a very comfortable environment for everyone involved. While Candice came up with the theme and styled the shoot, she was very open to me putting my own spin on the traditional Sugar Skull look.

Tracey was very fun and so patient to sit through an hour of makeup application.

What would be your top tips for anyone wanting to become a makeup artist? Try anything. You will never get better if you don’t put yourself out there and just try. Be a sponge.

Absorb as much as you can from other makeup artists, looks that you see in magazines, videos and TV. Just practice every chance you get. Collaborate with people who have the same visions as you. Do whatever you can to get your work out there and don’t be afraid to be unconventional.

With this issue being the Halloween/Dark Beauty issue, what’s your favourite thing about Halloween? What is there not to love about Halloween? I love everything about it. From a makeup artist standpoint, it is the best time of the year to dive into the more creative styles that may not come around the rest of the year. Anybody can be anything they want to be, and you get to transform them into whatever that may be. How cool is that?

What would be your top 3 makeup ideas for a Halloween party? Just 3? I struggle with this every Halloween when I’m trying to decide on my own costume! My favorites that I have done so far have been: Female Frankenstein, Pin-Up Witch/Vampire, Chucky/Bride of Chucky. But then again, a skull/ skeleton is always classic and so easily customized to make it fresh and put your own spin on it.

Finally, what do you hope the rest of 2014 brings? With a new business on the horizon for me, I hope 2014 brings lots of success, education, and doing more of what I love. So far, 2014 has brought me lots of amazing collaborations with incredible photographers and models, like Twin Sisters Photography and Tracey Ely. photography For those that may not have heard or seen your work before, who is Scarlet Shamir and what do you do? When I first started doing photography, I was really interested in making art that was just really pretty and vibrant. After awhile, I found that it’s really enjoyable for me to make everyone I do photos with feel beautiful no matter what, even if they’ve got an extra 300 pounds on them. I think there is beauty in absolutely everything; sometimes when you embrace the features you don’t necessarily like, it can make for a beautiful picture, especially in the fashion world.

Are there any photographic styles/themes that you haven’t tried yet, but would love to have a go at in the future? I’m really interested in trying to do some landscape photography, it’s something completely different from what I do now and I think it’d be a lot of fun.

What was the inspiration behind the featured photoshoot with Makayla Wetmore? Makayla and I are very close, we’ve been best friends for almost 9 years. This photoshoot was all her idea, it’s really awesome because when either of us have an interesting idea, we’ll just try it out and see what works. The main inspiration for it I think was obviously Halloween but it’s also to show you can be gory and beautiful at the same time.

Has anything out of the ordinary ever happened during a photoshoot? I’ve only been doing photography for about a year now so nothing super out of the ordinary but I’ve had drunk people and homeless people come up to my model, especially when it’s something revealing. It’s a little awkward but it’s kind of expected and I feel like most photographers will go through that AT LEAST once or twice, depending on where they’re shooting.

If you could do a shoot with anyone in the world, who would you pick and why them? I would be so thrilled to do a photoshoot with Ophelia Overdose or Amelia Nightmare, I absolutely love how creative and beautiful they are in completely different ways.

With this issue being the Halloween/Dark Beauty issue, what’s your favourite thing about Halloween? What I love about Halloween is mixing cartoon characters with reality, it sounds really strange but it really inspires me every year.

What would be your top 3 costume ideas for a Halloween party? I’m going to have to say Princess Bubblegum because that’s what I plan on being this year, I am so excited to put my costume together! Any costume that you make yourself is always really awesome because it’s something that you can’t buy in stores.

What’s your favourite horror/ Halloween movie or TV show? I’m not sure if it would count as a “horror” movie but Misery is one of my all time favorites.

Can you tell us about the journey you took to become a model? I had always wanted to try modelling but thought I never would, as I am not your typical tall and slim model. Regardless, I had a random shoot with a friend of mine, and they came out great and I loved every second! I then won a competition with one of the images and this led to gaining more photos in my portfolio and thus being able to showcase myself in order to collaborate and work with other people.

When you first started, did it turn out to be how you had imagined? Or did it surprise you in any way? I was only surprised that I was actually able to do modelling. As in not just a one off! I’ve worked with some amazing photographers and I’m just so happy that I pushed myself to try it. I must say, you don’t quite realise how hard modelling is until you try it, the most painful poses are the best, but it’s a lot of fun, for sure!

What are your favourite styles/ themes/concepts to shoot? I really love shooting beauty. Having close photos of your face is really daunting and scary, but it’s become my favourite.

Beauty is a really good challenge and with the right photographer and MUA, you can create some stunning work. I also love quirky photoshoots, with a dark/vampy feel! It’s good to bring out your dark side! ;) Are there any styles of modelling that you would like to explore more? I think I would like to do more conceptual stuff, like this photoshoot, but exploring other themes. I want to create more photos that tell a story, I think that would be really interesting.

Your featured photoshoot focuses on all things witchy.

What was your favourite thing about the shoot? The whole shoot was amazing! I haven’t shot anything like this before, so it was great to see how Amy works. On every shoot I like to learn something new and I learnt a

lot with this. It just felt so simple, no need to do any crazy poses, which I was worried about as it felt like I wasn’t doing any work, but Amy told me that was good as it’s better to stay still! I really loved the locations and they really helped me to get into the right mood for the photos.

How has being a model affected your life so far? It has definitely affected me in a wonderful way as I have met many talented and wonderful people. I have become a much more confident person but I still get extremely nervous before a shoot as I worry that I won’t do very well! As I do more and more, hopefully that feeling will go away and I can just rock up knowing I’m going to nail it! :) With this issue being the Halloween/Dark Beauty issue, what’s your favourite thing about Halloween? I love everything about Halloween! I love the toffee apples, carving pumpkins, dressing up and watching horror films (though I Rebelicious magazine | 113

watch them all year.) It’s definitely one of my favourite times of year.

What would be your top 3 costume ideas for a Halloween party? 1. Vampire. I always love dressing up as a vamp! I have custom fangs so I love any excuse to put them on! 2. Morticia Addams. Everyone loves Morticia! She is so morbid and beautiful; I really wish I could find the perfect dress to wear! I’d go with my boyfriend as Gomez. 3. Tomb Raider. She’s not that scary, but she’s badass and I love her! I have dressed as her many a time.

You need her around to shoot all the Egyptian mummies at Halloween!

What’s your favourite horror/ Halloween movie or TV show?

I love the Addams Family and the Addams Family Value movies, they are just classics. But for real horror films, I would go with The House of 1000 114 | Rebelicious magazine

Corpses/Devils Rejects or The Omen/ The Exorcist. There are too many to choose from really, but I’d go with those!
