If you only want to show the download instead of the full pdf embed, then you can turn off the toggle next wordpress embed pdf to the ‘ show inline embed’ option in the block settings. step 1: install pdf embedder on your wordpress website to install pdf embedder, open your wordpress dashboard and click on plugins > add new. in the opened media library panel, choose the pdf added in step 1, and use the insert button. pdf file embedded via the file block in the editor. wordpress will now automatically embed your pdf file in your post or page. you will also see a live preview of the pdf embed in the editor. then, in the plugin search function, type in pdf embedder. once the plugin has been retrieved, select install now, then activate. selecting the pdf file on the media library panel. click ‘ select’ to continue. you will find pdf embedder has now been installed on your website. the pdf file will be embedded in the editor with its file name as the text link, and the download button below the embed.
