Realty Executives Graphic Standards Defining and Implementing the Visual Elements of the Realty Executives Brand

REALTY EXECUTIVES BRAND POSITION

One Brand Voice We are all part of Realty Executives because we believe in what it stands for: the highest producing, most professional Executives all under one brand that stands for quality and excellence.

The strength of a our brand within the marketplace is directly correlated to our level of brand awareness. Brand awareness is built through our marketplace having repeated exposure to our brand, but that exposure must be consistent across the multiple touchpoints for it to make an impression.

Over time, our brand became less consistent and therefore recognizable due to a host of “treatments” that were developed based on differing tastes and opinions in the field. While we are all still under the Realty Executives brand, these treatments have created a lot of confusion and inconsistency throughout our marketplace. To regain the strength of one united brand, we have evolved our logo design with a more fresh, modern look while keeping with our 50 year legacy of excellence. This new logo treatment was presented and unanimously approved at the 2015 Realty Executives International Broker|Owner Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The purpose of this guide is to provide guidelines for our new brand direction.

While we hope everyone will begin moving in this united direction, we understand and expect that this will be an evolutionary process. As you — Broker/Owners and Executives — need new marketing materials, you are encouraged to incorporate the updated Realty Executives brand into your business marketing materials.

Logo Elements To determine the new look, we analyzed the current logo elements, emphasizing the elements that define the brand and removing those that hindered visual acuity.

CLEARLY DEFINE SHIELD SHAPE distinctive, “ownable” and recognizable REMOVE ANY “DIMENSIONAL EFFECTS” (shadows, gradients) Flat design is the modern approach, making dimensional design dated and not “forward-thinking”.

BLUE AND RED COLOR SCHEME With the move away from metallic textures and heavy gradients, the platinum tends to date the logo so we’ve chosen our dark blue and red as signature colors.

REMOVE THE BOX FRAME To allow for a larger graphic (Please note that this does NOT mean that there is no color field surrounding the shield. Display treatments are presented in the next section.)

Logo Elements Redefined The Realty Executives logo consists of two elements: the company name – REALTY EXECUTIVES (in the Realty Executives font) – stacked and centered within the shield. The space within the shield shape, where the “REALTY EXECUTIVES” logotype is housed, is white. No other words are allowed within this shield shape. (Please note that this does NOT mean that there is no color field surrounding the shield. Display treatments are presented in the next section.)

Both the Realty Executives font and the shield shape are proprietary and trademarked and are not to be altered or distorted in any way.

Logo Color Specifications The Realty Executives identity system is based on the use of two colors, a specific dark blue and a specific red.

The space within the defined shield shape – where the words “REALTY EXECUTIVES” is housed – is white, no exceptions.

REALTY EXECUTIVES APPROVED FONTS

Approved Fonts The following fonts are acceptable in Realty Executives marketing applications.

Because of font licensing rules, protocol follows that you must acquire these fonts on your own accord. With the exception of Adobe Garamond, these fonts are either free downloads, or a standard font furnished with computer operating systems.

Open Sans Open Sans is the preferred font, and used throughout the Realty Executives website and marketing materials. It is a free download from Google fonts: https://fonts.google.com/

Helvetica Helvetica (also known as “Arial” in some Windows applications) is the font used on Realty Executives property signage, and is a suitable alternative to Open Sans. It is a universal font and included as a standard font on computers.

Adobe Garamond Adobe Garamond is the font used for the registered version of the “where the experts are” tagline, as well as an alternative on Realty Executives property signage. This font must be purchased at Adobe.com.

Times Times (also known as “New York” in some Windows applications) is an acceptable alternative for those who do not wish to purchase Adobe Garamond. It is a universal font and included as a standard font on computers.
