I started my real estate career in 2004. When I told people what I do for a living, they would slap me on the back and say, “You’re so lucky, that’s a great career!” Five years later when I told people what I did, they would place their hand gently on my shoulder and say concerningly, “Oh… how are you doing?” Those were big changes, but I was able to move and pivot my way through the ups and downs in the market and have had continued success. While other agents were finding new jobs, I was selling the most homes I had in my career. I am both proud and thankful that I have been able to navigate the market and continually take advantage of opportunities that have presented themselves. I have been at the right place at the right time on several different occasions in my career. By showing up and capitalizing on opportunities, my business has been successful through thick and thin.

I am a believer of personal growth. I enjoy the process I have gone through in my life, and I enjoy helping others learn and grow. We are not perfect as human beings, and never will be, but I do believe each one of us, as individuals and as a whole community, have a responsibility to improve. I really enjoy self discovery and also love to have deep, meaningful conversations with others. Be it on a golf course, in a coffee shop, walking the neighborhood with a cigar and a drink, or in a friend’s home… I love engaging people and navigating deep waters.

Outside of work (is there an outside of work for REALTORS?), I also spend my time with family and close friends. Our life is shifting right now as we are entering the empty nest stage. So all the years of school functions and sports activities are in our rear view mirror for now. What will our next stage of life look like?

She knows how to get the job done in today’s market. She has developed a system of processes and networking strategies over the years, and it works. Teresa’s system has helped hundreds of Geneva clients achieve their real estate goals! Her micro-knowledge of the Geneva real estate market is rivaled by few. She is frequently the “go-to” person for appraisers, lenders, and even brokers from other offices in her market area.

Teresa has seen thousands of homes in Geneva over the past 32+ years. It is not uncommon for Teresa to have “behind the scenes” knowledge/involvement on many transactions that get put together before they hit the multiple listing service.

Teresa is a hometown native, having lived in Geneva in her early years and then making her way back after graduating from Northern Illinois University in 1988. She has an extensive network consisting of clients, friends, community leaders, and neighbors. Constantly “in the know” on all things Geneva, she is a respected leader in the real estate community. Teresa has been interviewed by the Illinois Association of Realtors magazine and has been featured in Glancer magazine. Teresa is currently the President/Owner of Stone Tower Properties in downtown Geneva. She works alongside a group of 20+ highly regarded local Realtors in her office.

Teresa lives in Geneva with her husband Terry and their children George, Macy, and Myles. In 2020, they welcomed Posy, a beautiful yellow labrador pup, into their family. When she is not selling real estate and assisting clients, Teresa enjoys her family cabin in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. She also has a habit of perusing local garden centers and nurseries from spring until fall and has even been known to cross state lines to visit a garden walk or two!

Teresa is a past board member of the Geneva History Museum, the Geneva Mother’s Club, the Geneva Garden Club, and a member of the Guild of the Holy Spirit at St. Peter Church in Geneva. She is also the founding member of 100 Women Who Care Geneva, having successfully raised over $150,000 for local charities.
