LOOKING AHEAD: IS A NORMAL REAL ESTATE MARKET ON THE HORIZON?

2022 REAL ESTATE PREDICTIONS: • Sale prices will continue to increase but at a slower rate than 2020 and 2021. Experts predict a 12.0% increase in year-over-year sale prices by July 2022, while last year experienced an 18.6% increase.

• Inventory is expected to rise, allowing the market to cool off and giving buyers more time and options while searching for their home.

• Interests rates will remain favorable to buyers and keep home sales going steady. Freddie Mac forecasts 4.0% interest rates by the end of 2022, and experts predict rates to be around 3.6%.
