Sale prices will continue to increase, but at a slower rate than 2020 and 2021. Experts predict a 12.0% increase in year-over-year sale prices by July 2022, while last year experienced an 18.6% increase.

Inventory is expected to rise, allowing the market to cool off and buyers more time and options while searching for their home.

Interest rates will remain favorable to buyers and keep home sales going steady. Freddie Mac forecasts 4.0% interest rates by the end of 2022, and experts predict rates to be around 3.6%.
