Unique Character Of Sherwood Forest

SHERW D FOREST Sherwood Forest remains one of the best kept secrets in the San Fernando Valley.

This picturesque community is one of the last of its kind. For years, residents of Sherwood Forest were simply known to be part of Northridge, despite its own originality, history, and sense of community. In fact, Sherwood Forest was one of the original tracts in the city, but has existed informally for many years.

Sherwood Forest is now its own official community within the city, and is recognized by the US Postal Service as “Sherwood Forest 91325.”

In total, Sherwood Forest is home to about 5,000 people. There are over 1,150 homes found within the exclusive enclave.

Architectural styles vary, ranging from ranchettes and estates built during the first half of the 20th Century, to newer single-family homes. Throughout Sherwood Forest, nicely manicured lawns, pristine gardens, and established trees grace the area’s beautiful homes.
