LoCo Think Tank is a local community Business Peer Advisory organization that has been helping their members find perspective, accountability, and encouragement from their small business peers since 2014. Now ten chapters strong and growing, LoCo Think Tank has earned a reputation for developing abundance-minded business leaders throughout the Northern Colorado Region, supported by the amazing LoCo Facilitators that have been carefully selected to help the chapters navigate the various challenges they bring to the table.

Curt Bear founded the organization soon after his departure from a 15-year career in banking, where he oversaw lending decisions ranging from startup SBA loans to acquisition financing for middle-market enterprises. He created LoCo Think Tank to help him navigate his journey and to help cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit and the sharing of collective wisdom in the community.

Each Loco Think Tank Chapter has up to 12 members who meet monthly for a half-day and take turns going through their business (and sometimes personal) challenges and opportunities. Each chapter is facilitated by a small business veteran - whose journey reflects a successful one to their members. The many perspectives in the room help provide clarity for complicated challenges, and there is power in a positive peer-pressure environment. LoCo has currently expanded its offerings to include five different chapter types, allowing owners and leaders of all sizes and industries to benefit from the LoCo Experience.

To help share this abundance of community experience, Curt has developed a podcast to share the expertise and journeys of the local business community. The LoCo Experience, launched in late 2020, features longform conversational interviews with all manner of business and community leaders, ranging from LoCo members with the young business but inspiring journeys to the founders of well-known regional and even national brands. Curt’s goal is to inspire more entrepreneurs to take the plunge and start something - or grow the thing they’ve already started.
