cout is very laid Back. Scout is 7 years and 3 months old Scout is a Jack Russell Terrier mix and he is brown and white. I’ve had Scout for 3 months We like to go for walks and cuddle I want a bearded dragon. I just hope Scouts ok with a new friend. I love Animles so much I would like to open an Animle cafÊ one day.

Our Class

English Second Language - 1st year very Monday we come to English class. We have on teacher and several students attending the class. We want to learn the language of this country. We bring notebooks and pencil to work. The teacher has material for us. We read different books. We read special books like Martin Luther King and Gandhi. We study different important people about the history of these people. It is very interesting to know about how they worked hard for this libety and freedom. Then we finally have a game. The two hours goes too fast but we learn a lot. We are grateful to have this opportunity to have a comfortable place where we can learn better.

My dog is black he is tender his name is Poncho I love my dog.

I work three days a week. My work days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I like my work I have eight years working cleaning houses. I take care my son Leonardo. Was a babysitter Leonardo. He is a beautiful boy.

Food Healthy Cholesterol Muffins

Basic Literacy, 3rd year I have high cholesterol so I am trying to lower it by eating flax seed, oat bran, walnuts, 60% cacao chocolate chips and drinking green tea with ginger.

Here’s the recipe. I changed it by using 1 cup white flour and ½ cup whole wheat flour. You can add the chocolate chips. Drink green tea with ginger when you eat your muffin. It’s a healthy breakfast!

GED/Hi-SET hroughout centuries, and even in today’s day and age, artists try to inspire meaning to their art as Leonardo da Vinci did in the early 1500’s. It’s easier said than done though, when you have to worry about school and work on top of that. Some people delay art or give up entirely on it because they believe it’s better to focus on making a living than on a “hobby.” Did you know that Leonardo did other thing beside painting and sculpting?

Leonardo had many other professions outside of painting, such as being an engineer, architect, and even a designer. He even studied many fields such as Latin, mathematics and even science. His mind was so grand with potential that even military forces employed his talented mind for their own use. It seemed like he wouldn’t have time for painting, but when he did, he made amazing paintings.

Though he is better known for his paintings “The Mona Lisa” and “The Last Supper,” Leonardo painted and drew many things. Another famous drawing was “Vitruvian Man,” which was a study of the proportions of the human body. Sketches of things were also made that were not even in existence yet, such as a bicycle, helicopter, and even a submarine. As Sigmund Freud write, “He’s like a man who awoke too early in the darkness, while the others were all still asleep.” If he were still alive, he’d have one heck of a résumé.

What little time he had for his art, he made pieces that the world would appreciate for the years to come. If anything, this should inspire artists not only in their art, but in everything else they do in life. If he can do all these things, maybe anyone can.

GRANDMOTHER’S CORN PUDDING

Basic Literacy, 2nd year 1 cup canned cream corn 1 cup canned whole corn ¼ cup of sugar ½ teaspoon salt - or less 1 ½ tablespoon of butter 2 tablespoons of flour Mix the following ingredients together: 2 eggs 1 cup of milk 1 teaspoon of vanilla Heat the oven to 350 degrees mod. Mix ALL ingredients thoroughly.

Pour into a greased 1-qt baking dish. Bake 60-70 minutes or until a silver knife comes out clean. Let cool.

Serves 8 or more.

Basic Litera ’m going to write about Kobe Bryant. Seven other people were in the helicopter with Kobe and his daughter. Kobe played in the NBA. He was an icon. He played 20 years with same team, the Lakers. He won five NBA championships, three with Shaq and two by himself. When he retired, that was it for him. His daughter, Gigi, loved basketball. She wanted to learn about the game and Kobe taught her. Gigi brought Kobe back into the NBA as a fan.

They went to lots of games to see the Lakers play. They went to the Nets in New Jersey because she liked one of the players. That’s why Kobe opened the Mama camp. They were going to play a basketball game that Sunday. That’s the day the accident happened.

I was excited Tuesday night to watch the Lakers play and the Clippers.

They postponed that game at the Laker’s request. I wish I knew when Kobe gets buried. I feel sorry for his wife losing her daughter. She has three other kids she has to raise by herself. Best wishes to his family; it’s a bad time for them.

Drink The “Mate” Fabiana

English Second Language, 1st year Like all Argentines, we love “mate”. The “mate” is a tea taken in a glass with Bombilla. This is a metal straw and weed a herb called Yerba mate.

The Yerba mate is originally from South America. This is good for digestion. The plant has green leaf and white flower.

The people can drink this tea all day every day. We can drink mate in winter, in summer, in the morning, at noon, in the afternoon, at night, before dinner, after lunch or with dinner. At work, at school. In the park, in the beach, in the mountains. With family, with friends, alone.

The mate can be taken bitter or sweet. Hot or cold. Flavored with lemon, orange, coffee, add other herb such as mint, chamomile, etc.

The mate is always present in the Argentines. Is our eternal companion.

My Kids Science Project

English Second Language, 2nd year he last two weeks, my children were working hard in a science project.

They have a competition in their school so as a mother I had to help them to do the best.

At the last day that they have to bring the project to school they looked sad or worried about so I was thinking to make them laugh, so I saw a classmate coming and asked him, “Hey Erick where is your project?” and he says I am out of the competition this year! And I say “Good! There are more chances from Juanluis to win!”

After that they relaxes their mind.

HOW TO MAKE CHAMPURRADO/ATOLE

Atole is a drink. I make it at Christmas. It is easy.

INGREDIENTS 2 sticks cinnamon 2 big piloncillo (buy some at Albertsons) 2 cups of Masa Harina 1 big can evaporated milk 6 cloves 1 quart of water Boil 3 cups water, cinnamon and piloncillo. In another container, dissolve the flour with a cup of water and add it to the boiling water, add 6 cloves and the evaporated milk. Mix all the ingredients and boil for 15 minutes.

Book Reviews The Thousand and One Nights Review by Lorenza

English Second Language, 2nd year he Thousand and One Nights Is also Known as Arabian Nights. It is a collection of stories told by Scheherazade, King Shahryar's new wife. The King planned to marry then murder all women in his kingdom because he was enraged that his brother's wife was unfaithful. Scheherazade came up with a plan to save the women's lives. She married the king and every night fascinated him with a different story, which she cleverly did not finish until the next night. This made the king curious about how the story would end and he would let her live one more night.

Scheherazade always replied, "tomorrow night I will tell you something even better and entertaining." That's how Scheherazade lives beyond one thousand and one nights.

Book: Monster Author: Walter Dean Meyers I highly recommend this book.

This book is about a young man who finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The setting is New York City.

The coolest part of this book is that it is written like a screenplay for a movie.

Martin Luther King Jr is a civil rights leader. he marched for civil rights for Black people.

Black people can’t go to the same restrooms, can’t eat at the same restaurants, can’t go to the same water fountain and they did not let black people sit on the same bus. they did not let black people play baseball either. he made it better because people did not like black people and they listened to him he made the world better.

I like this book Everybody should read it.
