In January 2014 RAHU started the first ever Peer Education Academy in Uganda, a unique initiative to train young people in life skills development, self-awareness and Sexual reproductive Health and rights as key elements in their lives. In this strategy, 50 peer educators including in and out of school 23 female and 27 male young people, were trained in peer mentoring and counseling, life skills, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Drug, Alcohol and Substance use and integration of social media with sexuality education.
