Choosing to Make a Difference Dana Keegan In my fifteen years with Realty Executives; I have been surrounded by a group of individuals that inspire me, challenge me and most importantly, mentor me. When you are consistently surrounded by this type of environment, it can become easy to lose the importance of the “vibe of your tribe”.
Culture is defined as the set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution or organization. To me, it’s a living breathing byproduct of assembling talented individuals who choose to make a difference…one transaction at a time.
Our culture is an integral part of our company and I have never been prouder of what we can do as a group than I was last month. At our Regional Conference, I saw the power of our culture in action and it was humbling, amazing and emotional to see what happens when we come together. After listening to Dan Spransy, Broker Owner of Realty Executives Cooper Spransy, share his journey with Project 143; an organization dedicated to providing opportunities for orphaned children to come to the US in hopes of finding a forever home. As a group, you raised over $12,000 in the span of 30 minutes for Before16 to change the lives of children whose time is running out.

REALTY EXECUTIVES DONATES FUNDS TO HURRICANE HARVEY AND HURRICANE IRMA RELIEF EFFORTS Realty Executives has donated the profits earned from Texas operations in 2017 to The American Red Cross in support of Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. With 17 brokerages throughout the state of Texas, Realty Executives is home to thousands of Brokers, Executives (agents), and staff in the region. Realty Executives has donated funds to The American Red Cross in support of Hurricane Irma relief efforts in Florida and the Southeastern U.S. The company matched a contribution made towards Hurricane Harvey relief efforts earlier this month, when profits earned from Texas operations in 2017 were donated to the Red Cross.
“We’ve been on the phone checking on our people in the area, and several of our employees have family along the Texas Coastal Bend, so we want to do what we can. We know that the Red Cross’ relief efforts are comprehensive and wanted to provide support in a practical way,” says Alysia Heun, VP of Franchise Services at Realty Executives International. In addition to the donation, the company is mobilizing its network of thousands to provide support to victims who are part of the Realty Executives family.

The Red Cross is part of a large team of organizations responding to efforts to provide shelter, food and comfort to people affected by Hurricane Irma across six states and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Over 2,600 Red Cross workers are responding to Hurricane Irma now, with approximately 160 emergency response vehicles activated, and an extra 315 volunteers on their way to provide assistance. The Realty Executives network has been mobilized from the beginning, from promoting hurricane preparedness within their communities, to helping with cleanup and fundraising efforts after the fact.

Time flies when you love your job! This month marks my THREE YEAR anniversary with Realty Executives Integrity! I’ve had the opportunity to meet hundreds of fantastic Real Estate agents, and have helped to bring over 80 Executives to the brokerage (wow! That’s a lot!) One of the best things that the Leadership Team has implemented in 2017 to help recruit and retain quality agents to the brokerage is our Dinner of Honor. The idea of the Dinner of Honor came from Rich Rector and we’ve put a “Realty Executives Integrity spin” on the night. If you’ve had the opportunity to attend, you know how impactful this night is.
