Theme: Invitation to adoration Jesus said to his disciples: “I am the living bread which has come down from Heaven.

Anyone who eats this bread will live for ever; and the bread that I shall give is my flesh, for the life of the world.�

Theme: Invitation to adoration Eucharist comes from the Greek word Θεία Ευχαριστία which means ‘I thank.’ In the Eucharist we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus and remember that he offered himself to save us from the original sin that created a distance between us and God the Father. Also the Sacred Heart is the Holy Eucharist. The heart represents love and love is the reason God sent Jesus to us. Love is the reason that Jesus died on the cross for us.

Suggested activities - Learn about Corpus Christi and take part in worship - Spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament at home or in school - Write a prayer to Jesus in the Eucharist (can be shared or private) - Design your own ‘Our Eucharistic Journey’ bookmark - Look at Eucharistic art and design your own based on this - Find out about what Adoremus means - Begin to learn ‘Sweet Sacrament Divine’ - Take part of 24 or 40 hour devotion in your school/parish - Let your parents know all about the start of ‘Our Eucharistic Journey’
