CAMPUS EXPANSION PROJECT
INTRODUCING THE NEW ACADEMIC BUILDING
A Hub for Innovation and Student Experience
The new academic building at RCSI MUB is the centrepiece of our Campus Expansion Project, developed to support our growing academic community and advance our commitment to world-class healthcare education. Adding 13,567 square meters of usable space, this facility will increase the campus footprint by 140%, introducing modernized learning environments and enhanced student amenities. Key areas of impact include expanded teaching and research facilities, with over 1,000 square meters dedicated to advanced clinical simulation labs and double the space for biomedical research, ensuring students gain realistic, hands-on experience and opportunities for innovation. Additionally, new social and recreational areas, including a two-story library and resource centre, provide 1,568 square meters for collaborative learning and community engagement.
Aligned with RCSI Bahrain’s sustainability goals, the building incorporates energy-efficient features such as double-glazed windows, sustainable insulation, and provisions for future solar panels. This environmentally conscious design supports a green campus while creating a comfortable, forward-thinking space for students and faculty. The new academic building exemplifies RCSI Bahrain’s mission to create a dynamic, ecofriendly environment that empowers future healthcare leaders.
