Medicine Programme
RCSI has been developing healthcare professionals in Ireland for over 230 years. For high school or university graduates who wish to pursue a career in medicine, the RCSI Bahrain undergraduate medicine programme can help to fulfill your ambitions.
The Undergraduate medicine programme offers two main entry points with the 5 year programme providing direct entry into medicine. The addition of a foundation year extends the programme duration to 6 years and acts as a bridging year for students transitioning from secondary to tertiary education. The Globally recognised degree awarded upon completion of the programme enables students to pursue local and international employment opportunities. RCSI Bahrain Graduates are now practicing medicine in over 35 countries around the world.

Medical Commencement Programme
RCSI Bahrain’s Medical Commencement Programme (MCP) is designed to provide a learning path in English language and basic sciences to those who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine but require some specific additional knowledge. Upon successful completion of this one-year programme, candidates will progress to the Foundation Year stage of the undergraduate medicine programme.

Nursing Programme
RCSI has been developing healthcare professionals in Ireland for over 230 years. For those who wish to pursue a career in nursing, the RCSI Bahrain undergraduate nursing programme offers education of the highest local and international standards.
The RCSI Bahrain Nursing Programme is a 4 year Bachelors in Science that is available to both Science and Commercial streams. There are opportunities for sponsorship and scholarships from the public and private sector, which provide students with employment after graduation, both in Bahrain and overseas.

Our Campus The Purpose-built Campus was constructed in Busaiteen in 2009 and contains state-of-the-art facilities including but not limited to a Clinical Simulation Centre, Learning Resource Centre, Catered Restaurant and Starbucks Café, Sports Hall and Gymnasiums, and a 4G Artificial Pitch.

Your Journey
Applying to university
When starting your journey of applying to university, there are 3 key stages to consider; EXPLORE, DECIDE AND APPLY.
In the EXPLORE phase, you should look to better understand the career path you have chosen and the role of a working professional in that field. This will always begin with doing your research and obtaining first-hand insight and experience that confirm you are making the right choice.

During the DECIDE phase, you start to consider your options when choosing a university to help you pursue your career. At this stage, you should be reviewing key factors that may influence your decision, such as the accreditation of the degree, the programme structure and the employment opportunities after graduation.
The final stage of the journey is to APPLY. There are several considerations that need to be taken into account when submitting your application to a university. To ensure you are giving yourself the best chance of success with your application, you need to consider the application process as a whole, including but not limited to; your Personal Statement, Admissions Interviews, relevant experience and supporting documents.

Applying to RCSI Bahrain Stage 1: Apply Fill the online application available on the website. Non-refundable application fee (BSc in Nursing $50 and Medicine $100). Upload all required documentation. Email confirms receipt of application.
Stage 3: Offer Applicant reviewed by the admissions committee.
Stage 2: Interview Eligible applicants will be notified by email. Interview by a faculty member assessing communication skills, maturity, motivation, and suitability for a career in healthcare.
Stage 4: Accept
Notified of outcome by email of acceptance or otherwise.
Submit signed acceptance of offer and proof of payment or sponsorship letter.
Issued with a Full Offer* or a Conditional Offer, i.e. pending achievement of conditions specified in the offer letter.
Submit final result to Admissions Office (for conditional offers).
Placed on a wait list, which will be reviewed prior to commencement of programme. Issued with a regret letter, indicating you have been unsuccessful in obtaining a place on the programme.
A final outcome letter will be sent. An acceptance email required if there are any changes to entry stage.
Stage 5: Enrol Submit attested, original, hard copy documents to complete registration process. Complete payment of first year fees. Begin your journey as an RCSI Bahrain student.
*All offers are conditional upon Higher Education Council (HEC) approval.
