His Excellency Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, participated in the 16th Conferring Ceremony of RCSI Medical University of Bahrain, held on June 18th at the Gulf Convention Centre. In the presence of distinguished guests including Her Excellency Dr Jaleela bint Al Sayyed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health; Her Excellency Dr Diana Abdulkareem Al Jahrami, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council and Deputy Chairperson of the Higher Education Council Board of Trustees; Her Excellency Dr Mariam Al Jalahma, Government Hospitals Chief Executive Officer; His Excellency Brigadier (Professor) Fahad Khalifa Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Medical Services; His Excellency Colonel (Dr) Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Commander of King Hamad University Hospital; His Excellency Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture; several senior Bahraini and international officials; Professor Deborah McNamara, President of RCSI; Professor Sameer Otoom, President of RCSI Medical University of Bahrain; Professor Cathal Kelly, Vice Chancellor of RCSI; Professor Tracy Robson, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, RCSI; and Professor Michael B. Murphy, Chancellor of the National University of Ireland (NUI).
Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
The Conferring Ceremony, celebrated the academic achievements of 142 medical graduates and 130 graduates from the undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes. The ceremony honored exceptional academic accomplishments from the School of Medicine: •
Dr Ola Gamil Mohammed received the Medicine Overall Gold Medal, the Senior Cycle Bronze Medal, the Professor James Finucane Prize in Medicine, and the Professor Niall O’Higgins Prize in Surgery.

Dr Zain Mohammed AlMuqbel received the Degree Award Gold Medal, Senior Cycle Silver Medal, and the Professor Joe McMenamin Prize in Paediatrics.

Dr Khadija Sayed AlToblani received the Professor Charlotte Kamel Prize in Psychiatry.

Dr Maher Ali AlQattan received the Professor John Murphy Prize in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Dr Khaled Hameed Husain received the Professor David Whitford Prize in General Practice.

The School of Nursing and Midwifery Valedictorian, Nurse Ali Jamal Ramadhan, was awarded the Nursing Overall Gold Medal and the BSc Nursing Bronze Medal.

Nurse Rahaf Adnan Itani received the BSc Nursing Silver Medal.

The Rufaida Al-Aslamia Award in Nursing was awarded to Nurse Rawya Alabbasi.
