GRECIAN EMPIRE

INTRODUCTION

As a young lad of approximately eleven years old, my life became exposed and effected by some of the greatest preachers and Bible teachers of my generation. This deep impression stirred my young heart to a Christian experience and then a calling into the ministry at the age of fifteen. I now can retrospectively view over fifty years of ministry that has taken me all over the world in sharing this great experience with others. During my college and seminary days, such powerful and potent Bible scholars and teachers as Dr. Leonard W. Coote, President of International Bible College, Rev. David B. Coote, Rev. John M. Bell, Dr. J. C Grandbery A.B., A.M., B.D., Ph.D., D.D. who taught Greek I and 2, Dr. Jimmy Hayes, President of Andersonville Baptist Seminary, Dr. Jerry Knoblet, Dr. James Gibson, Dr. Randy Edwards, Dr. Jim Carr and a host of other Bible preachers and teachers made powerful impacts on my love and appreciation for the word of God and all its relevance. I will forever be indebted to the contribution of these powerful Bible scholars and scriptural teachers. Due to the influence of these men, much of the material of this presentation is the accumulative information derived from the teachings and facts of historical documents shared by the many efforts of others that had personal bearing on my life and ministry. One such unique and enthusiastic teacher, a powerful preacher of the gospel was the one I so affectionately called “my father in the Lord,” Rev. U. A. Massey. It is not the intent of this presentation to create a doctrinal debate but rather to merely, show given facts in the annuals of history from the beginning of the New Testament Church, 30 A.D., to 1900 A.D. With false teachers making deep inroads into the Church, The Apostle Paul was inspired of God to warn, 26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. 27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. 28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. (Acts 20:26-31). Many of the things listed herein are documented statements of theological historians who have spent many years developing these statements and studies of history. For this reason, I humbly and honorably admit to the fact that much of the material belongs to the credit of others and I only share with you my compilation, this that I title “Chronology of the Church Chronicle.” My fervent desire is that the facts presented in this treatise will come to prove a blessing and benefit to all of those students of the scripture who desire a broader and deeper insight of the historicity of the Church. May I mention the fact, that any short recites or referential quotes that are herein included, are given credit to the author at the position in which they are mentioned.
