Your RCI Points explained It’s best to think of your points as a currency. You spend exactly the amount you want, when you want, to get precisely the Exchange Holiday* you’d like. At the beginning of each Use Year you are allocated your points ownership. Your points allocation lasts for two years, and how you use these points is entirely your choice. Points really are the most flexible way to book your holidays. You can use your points in a number of ways to get the Exchange Holiday you want.

In Use Year 1, you could use 10,000 points on a studio apartment and 15,000 points on a 1 bedroom apartment leaving you with 25,000 points to enjoy another Points Exchange Holiday or save over to your next Use Year.

If you need more points than you currently have for an Exchange, borrow them from your next Use Year’s allocation.
If you have any unused points left over at the end of your Use Year, they will automatically be saved into your next Use Year. But if you don’t use them by the end of the second year, your points will expire.*

In Use Year 2, you might decide to book a 3 week Exchange Holiday in peak season at a value of 100,000 points. You can do this, because you can spend the points you’ve saved from Use Year 1 (25,000), and borrow points from Use Year 3 (25,000) giving you the 100,000 points you need.
If you’ve used all your points, and still would like to book another exchange, you can rent the points required to book your chosen holiday.* Call us to transfer or rent points. To save, borrow or extend - simply go online.

Your Points Ownership There are three types of points ownership: Fixed, Floating and Pure Points. How you book your Points Exchange depends on the type of points ownership you have. Your type of ownership determines which reservation windows you can access, see page 8.

If you own the same week and apartment number every year this is known as ‘fixed’ ownership.
If you own a week at a resort which does not fall into the same week number every year, this is known as ‘floating’ ownership.
If you own points that are not associated to a specific week of timeshare, this is known as ‘Pure Points ownership’.

Reservation windows explained To make the most of your points membership, it’s important that you know when the best time is to book your Exchange Holiday. As a points member you have exchange opportunities in both our RCI Weeks and RCI Points Programmes. Exchanges in our RCI Weeks Programme are available for you to book up to 2 years in advance of your desired travel date. In addition to this, you also have exclusive access to exchange opportunities in our RCI Points Programme from 10 months before your desired travel date.
Don’t forget, you also have the added benefit of your Home Reservation types, giving you priority booking windows to the resort or group of resorts within your ownership. Read on for details of how to benefit from these exclusive perks of your points membership.

When you would like to book your own apartment number and week number (fixed owners only), your week is reserved for you to book.

Frequently asked questions Q. What is the RCI Points cancellation policy? A. For the full cancellation policy and points rules please see RCI.com. Depending on how far in advance you cancel your Exchange booking we will refund a certain percentage of points to your account. These points can then be reused for all types of reservations. Unfortunately, we cannot refund transaction fees. If Points Protection is purchased on your booking 100% of your points are refunded. Q. What happens when I cancel a confirmed RCI Weeks Exchange that was made with points? A. The points cancellation policy will apply. Q. How did RCI calculate the points values of the resorts? A. The point values are based upon several variables including location of affiliated resort, resort quality, resort amenities, unit configuration and time of year. Q. Will the RCI Points value of my week ever change? A. The calculations will be reviewed from time to time and should the values alter dramatically then both the member’s points ownership and the points required for an Exchange Holiday at that resort will either increase or decrease. Q. What if I want to send a friend or family to use my reservation? A. Your reservation can be given to anyone you wish. For a nominal fee you can purchase a Guest Certificate which allows your friends and/or family to take advantage of the reservation. Guests must be at least 21 years old. Some resorts, however, may have higher age requirements.

Q. How do I let you know that I want to save my RCI Points? A. You do not need to let us know if points have not been used by the end of the Use Year in which they were first allocated. They will automatically be saved into the next Use Year. If points have not been used by the end of the Use Year they were saved into and you want to extend them, you will need to call Membership Services. Q. What happens to my RCI Points once they are saved? A. Once points are saved, they will expire at the end of the Use Year into which they were saved. Points that have been saved, may be borrowed back, but cannot be saved into a third Use Year as points expire if not used after 2 years. Q. What happens if I am unable to use my saved points, will they expire? A. Yes, however, when you make your points reservations, the points you have saved will be used up first. This means that your most recent points allocations will only be used after your saved points have been utilised (as long as the travel date of the Points Exchange you are booking is within the Use Year of the saved points). If you are unable to use all of your saved points in the year they are due to expire you can extend them for a further year for a transaction fee. Q. If I book two weeks of accommodation do I need to pay two reservation fees? A. If you book two weeks in the same RCI Points resort with the same unit size for both weeks, you only need to pay one reservation fee. If you book different unit sizes, different RCI Points resorts or an RCI Weeks resort/s this will be subject to two reservation fees (one per week of accommodation booked).

New Member Extra Holiday Discount
Guest Certificates Recipient must be at least 21 years of age. Member must call an RCI Guide prior to giving the Guest Certificate to a guest.
Direct Debit Direct Debit only applicable to members residing in the UK. Savings on annual membership fee do not apply to composite membership types. Annual membership fees automatically come out of your bank account when they become due. You will be covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee and will receive a copy of this with confirmation of your Direct Debit being set up. All transaction fees are still payable at point of transaction so will not be included in Direct Debit collections. Call Membership Services for more information.
