MESSAGE FROM THE HOSPITAL

To all our RCH Auxiliaries, thank you for your ongoing commitment and support, and for another amazing year of fundraising.

We have all missed seeing your faces around campus yet your continued efforts to support us and fundraise for the hospital have not gone unnoticed. To raise $656,933 in the past 12 months is an outstanding effort and will make a significant difference to help us provide great care for sick children.

Your incredible fundraising success is a true testament to each and every one of you; you have rallied together to support each other and your successes truly signify the invaluable role you play in the communities around you.

In particular, the pivot to digital fundraising was an impressive effort and I hope you all take pride in the success of the projects you supported and the virtual campaigns that were facilitated. It was well known that the Good Friday Appeal would look quite different for a second year in a row, and to raise $17,122,879 was a direct result of the hard work and passion of all our fundraisers. Your ability to turn challenges into new opportunities and move forward with optimism and trust is inspiring. Through your support, children with cerebral palsy will benefit from the latest in clinical care through the support of longterm studies into the condition, nurses will receive advanced training in bioethics and children with brain tumours will be able to access vital clinical trials to improve their outcomes. None of these projects would have been possible without your support, and for that, we’re truly grateful.

The funds that you have raised for the hospital help to elevate us to new levels of care for our patients and their families. As I retire from my position as CEO and reflect on my many years at the RCH, it is impossible to summarise the impact of your efforts.

Keep well and on behalf of the entire team at the RCH, thank you.

John Stanway

Chief Executive Officer
