What’s happening Rosslare Community & Sports Centre – The extended winter weather caused some minor delay to our development work, but we’re pleased to announce we’re back on track – a new dividing wall has been constructed and the concrete floor has now been laid in our “access to all” ground floor community room. This means the main hall is now fully accessible, and we are happy to confirm that it is once again available for functions and parties. So, if you have a birthday party, a family function or an office event coming up, why not call us on 053 9132202 to discuss your requirements. The RCDA we would like to thank all the supporting groups during the Leader funding application; we will continue to fundraise for the remaining costs and upgrade our heating system. Any fundraising suggestions are always welcome.

Summer is on its way!!!! It’s never too early to start planning for the holidays and we have a number of fun events for the calendar. Our Field Day takes place on Sunday 29th July and promises to be a great day out for all the family with a variety of stalls and entertainment already in place. Some stall spaces remain – call us on 053 9132202 to book yours. We are currently putting together our very popular Summer Camp programme….. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates.

Office Admin Service – Rosslare Community & Sports Centre can now provide a fully comprehensive office administration package to suit individual needs. In addition to our internet access, print/scan/copy and laminating services, we can now offer quality administration services to include CV production, fliers, reports, correspondence etc. All available at a highly competitive hourly rate. To discuss your requirements, contact us on 053 9132202 or call to the office upstairs in the Centre; we’re open from 9 – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Swim Week & Water Safety Week takes place from 9-14 July @ 10am. For more information call Eliz on 087-2470493 Rosslare Youth Club will soon finish for the summer after a year full of fun and activities. We urgently need new leaders, if you can help please get in touch asap so we can be ready for September. Registration will take place for RYC 2018/19 on Fri 8 Sept September @ 7pm . Befriending Group We offer free and friendly companionship to older people through weekly visits and telephone calls. Our volunteers receive training and are Garda vetted. We complement other services such as home help, home care etc, but DO NOT replace these services. Professional and self-referrals welcome. Bags are provided at the car park and can be deposited in any refuse bin round the village;‘any bin, any bag’ Rosslare Tidy Towns is affiliated to The National Tidy Towns Organisation and have been entering the National Competition for 20 years. This is the 60th year of the National Competition and we hope that it will be a special one for Rosslare. Preparations are underway; planting, weeding, watering, painting and litter picking are all tasks that help to make our Village a nicer place to live, work or visit. The social side of the group is equally important - coffee and a chat is a must when work is done. This is an ideal way for newcomers to the area to get to know a few people. New Volunteers are always welcome; you decide how much time to give, when you want to work, and what you would prefer to do. You can join in when and where ever you see us working, contact us through Facebook "Rosslare Tidy Towns Volunteers", or call Margaret (Sec) on 086 1257487. We ask all Residents and Business owners to help by "Looking after your own Patch " Crazy Golf – Paint Appeal! We are sprucing up our crazy golf course for the coming season. If you have any unused or unwanted (but in date please) pots of paint taking up space in your garage, we would be happy to put them to use – the more vibrant the colour, the better!
