What’s happening Rosslare Community & Sports Centre – Due to continuing construction work at the centre, unfortunately we are unable to host an Easter camp this year. We apologise, but hope the wait will be worthwhile! In the meantime, for your health and safety, we ask that you continue to use only the front entrance of the building. As work progresses, we may have to close the main indoor sports hall on occasion, causing some disruption, but all affected groups will be notified if this needs to happen. You can be assured everything will be done to minimise risk to our users and disruption to the day to day activities in the centre. We look forward to welcoming you to our fully functional “access to all” ground floor community room. The RCDA we would like to thank all the supporting groups during the Leader funding application.

However, we will need to actively fundraise for the remaining costs and upgrade our heating system, which as many of you are aware has not been fully functional for some time. Any fundraising suggestions are welcome.

Crazy Golf – Paint Appeal! We are currently sprucing up our crazy golf course for the coming season. If you have any unused or unwanted (but in date please) pots of paint taking up space in your garage, we would be happy to put them to use – the more vibrant the colour, the better! Add a splash of colour to your wardrobe without breaking the bank! If you are planning a Spring clean of your wardrobe, please think of us and drop any unwanted items into the shop Mon – Sat 10am - 5pm. All donations greatly appreciated.

FOR SALE We have a supply of high quality curtains, complete with blackout linings, available for sale at the Centre. In varying patterns of aqua/taupe/lime, these curtains were originally made for large windows and could easily be altered to create smaller curtains/blinds/cushions. Office Admin Service – Rosslare Community & Sports Centre can now provide a fully comprehensive office administration package to suit individual needs. In addition to our internet access, print/scan/copy and laminating services, we can now offer quality administration services to include CV production, fliers, reports, correspondence etc.

All available at a highly competitive hourly rate. To discuss your requirements, contact us on 053 9132202 or call to the office upstairs in the Centre; we’re open from 9 – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Befriending Group We offer free and friendly companionship to older people through weekly visits and telephone calls.

Our volunteers receive training and are Garda vetted. We compliment other services such as home help, home care etc, but DO NOT replace these services. Professional and self-referrals welcome. Bags are provided at the car park and can be deposited in any refuse bin round the village;‘any bin, any bag’ Rosslare Tidy Towns is affiliated to The National Tidy Towns Organisation and have been entering the National Competition for 20 years. This is the 60th year of the National Competition and we hope that it will be a special one for Rosslare. Preparations are underway; planting, weeding, watering, painting and litter picking are all tasks that help to make our Village a nicer place to live, work or visit. The social side of the group is equally important - coffee and a chat is a must when work is done. This is an ideal way for newcomers to the area to get to know a few people. New Volunteers are always welcome; you decide how much time to give, when you want to work, and what you would prefer to do. You can join in when and where ever you see us working, contact us through Facebook "Rosslare Tidy Towns Volunteers", or call Margaret (Sec) on 086 1257487. We ask all Residents and Business owners to help by "Looking after your own Patch " , a model used in the most successful Towns and Villages. Let’s make a real Community effort for 2018 – it could be our year!

Rosslare Penny Bank - Every Thursday from 2:30pm - 3.30pm in the chapel in St Brigid’s Church Scoil Mhuire Rosslare - Enrolments are now being taken for September 2018. Please call to the school office anytime between 9am and 5pm to collect an Admission Booklet.

Rosslare Active Retirement Next meeting will be held on Tuesday 24th April at 10.30am. Guest speaker will attend. All NEW members welcome. Call Paul O’Connor on 0860692330 for more information.
