Welcome to the June Edition of Rosslare Newsletter Look out for the Economic & Community Investment Programme 2018-2022 published by Wexford County Council. A very impressive and well-laid out document. Credit is due to the Council for spreading the benefit of available largesse far and wide across the county. It includes 12m euro for the RosslareWaterford Greenway and a further 3.5m for the Wexford to Rosslare Strand Greenway. The Greenways will ultimately be part of a national network.

Great achievement by young Lauren Mullally of Rosslare Boxing Club who won the All-Ireland Girls 39kg category. Congratulations to Lauren and her mentor Austin Codd. Plaudits also for the Rosslare Mens Shed who, out of 168 entries, won 2nd place in the nationwide competition to set out the most imaginative historic presentation. The theme was the Marconi connection with Rosslare and Jim Fortune and Peter McQueen drove the project. Erratum: Tidy Towns have not decided to re-affiliate to Rosslare Development Association contrary to a report in last month’s newsletter.
