FOR CHURCH BUILDING DEDICATION AND ANNIVERSARY CEREMONY
Dearly Beloved,
Today, we gather with hearts full of gratitude and joy to celebrate two monumental milestones: the 12th anniversary of our beloved church, The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Peculiar Nation (RCCG Peculiar Nation) and the dedication of our new church building. These are moments that not only mark the passage of time but also reflect the enduring faith, commitment, and love that binds us together as a community of believers. As we reflect on the journey that has brought us to this moment, we are reminded of God's unwavering faithfulness and the incredible blessings He has poured upon us as a church family. To God be the glory!!!
Twelve years ago, we embarked on a journey of faith, united by a vision to serve our community and spread the love of Christ. We have witnessed God's mighty hands through every trial, test of faith, and triumph.. Each step of our journey has been a testament to His grace and the collective dedication of every member of this congregation. Reflecting on our anniversary, we look back with thanksgiving for all that has been accomplished through God’s grace. We are eternally grateful to our God, who promised to work with us from inception and has been faithful to His promise.. Amongst many other examples, we testify today of His faithfulness as evidenced through His inspiration and provision towards the building and completion of our new sanctuary of worship.
We are all seated this day in this glorious sanctuary, to dedicate this tabernacle to the Lord our God to whom it belongs. The project, a journey of about seven years, was conceived in the year 2017 with the purchase of the 9.15 acres of land here in Pilot Butte. The Holy Spirit led us to this specific land and inspired us to begin construction planning in 2019. The implementation of the plans commenced shortly after the COVID pandemic was over in the year 2021. And today, we are celebrating the completion and dedication of a $4.5 million sanctuary.
“NOT UNTO US, OH LORD, NOT UNTO US, BUT UNTO THY NAME GIVE GLORY, FOR THY MERCY, AND FOR THY TRUTH’S SAKE.” PSALM 115:1
By the grace of God, over 70% of the total cost for this project came from generous donations and contributions from our RCCG Peculiar Nation family and a few other friends of the house who partnered with us in the effort. The remaining 28.4% was from other sources. Indeed, the Lord is faithful to His word. And to everyone who has contributed financially in one way or another to the successful completion of this work, please accept our deepest gratitude. You will never lose your reward, in Jesus’ name, Amen. We also appreciate the tireless effort of our building contractor, the Contech construction team, for their patience, cooperation, and great work throughout the years of building.
We celebrate not just bricks and mortar, nor just wood and iron, but a place where lives will be transformed, prayers will be answered, and God's word will be preached. This new sanctuary stands as a beacon of hope and a testament to our shared commitment to building a stronger, more vibrant community of faith. It is a sacred space where we come together to worship, to learn, and to grow in our spiritual journey; to seek solace, to find inspiration, and to build relationships grounded in faith. It is a place where the divine presence of God will dwell among us, where prayers will be lifted, and where lives will be transformed. Let us dedicate this building not just with our hands but with our hearts, offering it as a vessel for God’s work and a beacon of hope and love to our community. Let us remember that this building is not merely a structure but a symbol of our dedication to God's work. We pray it be filled with joy, peace, and a sense of purpose as we continue to serve our Lord and reach out to those in need, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
As we stand here today, let us also look forward with renewed commitment. The future holds boundless opportunities for growth, outreach, and service. Let us be inspired by the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, who came not to be served but to serve. May our new building be a testament to our ongoing devotion to this calling, and may our anniversary remind us of the vibrant and active presence of God in our lives. We pray that this place, and our community within it, will be filled with the spirit of unity and peace. May it be a sanctuary for the weary, a refuge for the troubled, and a source of strength for the faithful. Let it be a place where the teachings of Christ come to life, and where we are continually transformed by His grace.
As we look to the future, let us move forward with renewed enthusiasm and unwavering faith. Let us be a light in our community, a refuge for the weary, and a source of hope for the lost. Let us commit ourselves anew to the mission of spreading God's love and sharing the message of salvation.
In conclusion, I extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for your dedication, your prayers, your support, and hard work that have made this day possible. Together, we embark on this new chapter with hope and excitement, trusting in God’s promise to guide us and bless us in all that we do. May God continue to bless our church and guide us as we seek to fulfill His purpose in this new chapter of our journey. May God bless this building, this congregation, and each one of us as we continue to grow in faith, love, and service, In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Congratulations to us all and to the Pilot Butte and Regina community, where God has established this Heaven’s Portal named “The Peace Sanctuary”. May His name be forever praised in this land and nation

THE BUILDING JOURNEY: GLENCAIRN TO
THE PEACE SANCTUARY
Our Sanctuary of Worship has evolved since our first service at the Glencairn Neighbourhood Centre, Regina. Our God has been faithful and continually enlarged our tents from a rented community centre to the Peace Sanctuary. We are indeed grateful for the growth and journey over the years.
THE PEOPLE JOURNEY
From the first service of ten (10) adults, and five (5) kids on October 21, 2012, Peculiar Nation has surely increased over the years to well over 500 hundred members. We started running two services prepandemic to accommodate our growing numbers and added a third service dedicated to our young adult members in 2022.
In Peculiar Nation, we seek to strengthen inter-personal relationships with one another through various fun means, and also engage with our community around us as a way of giving back. We are a family-oriented and strengthening church. Below are some of the units we have that ensure this.
Children's Department
Founded in 2014, the Peculiar Nation Children’s church, known as ‘Kingdom Builders’ was created to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children to grow in faith and moral character. Born out of the church’s rapid expansion and a growing need for early Bible-based education, the department offers engaging, ageappropriate activities that help kids understand God’s love.
From humble beginnings with fewer than ten children, it has blossomed to over 250 participants, showcasing its success in building a vibrant, faith-filled com unity.
KEY ONGOING EVENTS
Weekly Sunday School Classes
Every Sunday during the main service, children dive into Bible stories, crafts, and group activities designed to reinforce Christian values in a fun, engaging way.
Monthly Birthday Celebration:
Held on the first Sunday of each month, this tradition celebrates the birthdays of children born that month with special recognition during service, birthday songs, and a small gift for each child. It’s a joyful time that strengthens bonds and com unity spirit.
Annual Children’s Weekend:
This much-anticipated event, usually in July, is packed with Bible-themed games, outdoor fun, and interactive lessons. The weekend concludes with a special worship service where kids showcase their Bible recitations, choreography, and song performances. It’s a time for spiritual growth, friendship- building, and lasting memories.
Club DJ:
A lively Bible memorization program for kids from Kindergarten to Grade 6, or ages 5-11. Running from October to mid-April, it engages children with scripture, crafts, and games. Club DJ meets every Tuesday at 7 PM on Zoom, making it accessible and fun!
Annual Christmas Ministration
In December, this heartwarming event brings Christmas to life with carols, a nativity play, and festive activities centered on the birth of Jesus. The Sunday before Christmas, every child receives a special gift, making the season even more magical and reinforcing the joy of giving.
Instead of Halloween, we host an alternative celebration on October 31st, filled with praise, Bible-based videos, and fun games. It’s a safe, spiritually uplifting night that brings the com unity together in joyful worship.
The growth of the department, both in numbers and spiritual depth, is a testament to the dedication of our volunteer teachers and the vibrant com unity they've nurtured.

Special Projects

OVERCOMERS TEENS CHURCH CLUB
Beginning in 2017 with just two teenagers, the Overcomers Club has come a long way. From humble beginnings, meeting in a small corner of the PPP Bond Street basement, the group quickly outgrew the space. Today, the club holds services in a 70-seater venue across from the main Peculiar auditorium, where it has expanded from the initial service in that space of 30 members to nearly 100 teenagers.
The mission of the Overcomers Club is clear: to empower teens to be influencers in their world, using their unique, God-given talents to spread His presence and make an impact.
One of the most remarkable things about the Overcomers Club is that it’s largely run by the teens themselves. While adult facilitators provide, guidance and handle some communications and provide oversight, the teens take charge of the services, music, events, messages, and clubs. This hands-on involvement helps them develop leadership skills and take ownership of their spiritual growth
The Overcomers Club is also a community of high achievers. From athletes and artists to geniuses and musicians, every teen is encouraged to explore their talents and passions, knowing they have the full support of their peers and leaders.
What sets this group apart is its openness and willingness to tackle real-world issues. Lessons are designed to address the challenges that today’s teenagers face, giving them a platform to ask tough, honest questions and receive thoughtful, Bible and faith-based answers.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing adult facilitators who keep things running smoothly. They dedicate their time to teaching, guiding, and helping the teens grow in Christ while supporting them in navigating their place in the world.
The Overcomers Club is more than just a church group—it's a family of driven young people coming together to solve problems and understand life through the lens of the Bible as followers of Jesus Christ. Interested in joining? We’d love to have you! And what better place than our brand new 200-seater space at the Peace Sanctuary.
For more information on our teens services, programs and/or to join as a facilitator, please contact Dr. Ebenezer Adediji on (306) 292-9362.
BUILDING THE GLORY OF THE TEMPLE
The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty - Haggai 2:9
For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.” – Hebrews 3:4

PECULIAR GENERATION CHURCH
A hearty congratulations to Peculiar Nation as we commemorate our 12th anniversary and rejoice also in the grand opening and dedication of our new worship centre, the Peace Sanctuary. This is a significant milestone for us, and it fills our hearts with immense joy to see how far we've come. It is with great joy that the youth and young adults’ expression of Peculiar Nation, Peculiar Generation Church (PGC), join to give all praises to God for the many great attainments and accomplishments we have recorded over the years. It truly is a testament of God’s boundless love, grace, favour and mercy radiating on us as a church.
Additionally, we celebrate the 2nd anniversary of PGC, which took place in September. At PGC, the Lord has gathered us with a mandate to “Be the Light”. We are grateful for the privilege that has afforded us to have a space to express our youthful vigour (Proverbs 20:29) as we grow into knowing Jesus, knowing who we are in Him, and manifesting as the light of the world that He has created us to be. We are excited to witness and be a part of the continued impact of Peculiar Nation in this city and beyond.
Let us dive into some testimonials from our young adults in PGC.

Steve
I joined PGC because I wanted to fellowship where I believed I could grow spiritually and connect with others who shared my values. The vibrant, welcoming, atmosphere drew me in, and I felt an immediate sense of belonging. Having the opportunity to serve in the Prayer and Choir units has been incredibly fulfilling. I’ve learned so much about leadership and teamwork while contributing to projects that genuinely make a difference. PGC has profoundly impacted my spiritual journey; through various teachings and activities, I have gained a deeper understanding of my faith and how to live it out in my daily life. The friendships I have formed here have been invaluable. It was a great thing to have experienced PGC’s second anniversary. PGC has been a cornerstone in my life, and I am grateful to God and PPP for this family created for the youths and for the opportunities I have been given to grow, serve and connect with others. My most enjoyable event in PGC is the Fresh Encounters which happens once a month.
Being a part of PGC has been nothing short of amazing in my life. I joined PGC and immediately loved the atmosphere around the youth church as well as how welcoming they are. PGC is a place of growth, and I have seen noticeable growth in all areas of my life. Being a part of PGC has helped me to learn to be a better person, exhibit the Nature of Christ and be full of love. I am super happy to be a part of this family, and I see greater growth and expansion of the Kingdom of God through PGC to the world. One of my most enjoyable moments of being a PGC youth would be the ‘Church and Grill Sunday’ and the ‘Vision Board Sunday’. I enjoy being a youth whenever I am at PGC.
THE YOUNG ADULT EXPRESSION OF PECULIAR NATION
Rosemary.
Graduating from the Overcomers’ Club (PPP’s teenage church) and having a youth church to transition to immediately was amazing to me. This is how I found myself in PGC and I was immediately encouraged to keep the fire burning by joining any service department. I serve in the Ushering, Arts, and Welfare departments at PGC. Joining PGC has changed my spiritual life in more ways than I can count. I love the honor of serving God and the leaders and co-laborers make it much easier to get the work done. I love how much fun it is and how impactful a smile can be to change someone’s mood in the service. Here at PGC, I receive spiritual guidance and great Christian friends who encourage me to seek God more. Most of my friendships were and still are being built in PGC, and they are all godly individuals who strive to be like Jesus with each passing day. I love how we, as a church, are not trying to be like any other church but ourselves. The events I enjoy most in PGC are our ‘Activity Sunday’, ‘Money March’, ‘Love and Life Talk’, and ‘Excel Sunday’. I was super excited when PGC celebrated her second anniversary in September and such a joy to see all the youths growing in phenomenal ways. Shout out to PPP on her 12th anniversary and I look forward to being more involved in the community even as we grow bigger, better and stronger together in the Lord.
Daniel
From PGC to Peculiar Nation, we love you immensely and are happy to be called “Peculiar”! Here’s to many more years of service, growth, and divine favor as we continue to strengthen our community and faith. May we remain steadfast in our mission and ever grateful for the blessings bestowed upon us.
With heartfelt praise and gratitude, Peculiar Generation Church (PGC).
My first day at PGC was unlike any other. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with God’s presence and young adults who are committed to their walk with God. What stood out to me was how the church not only nurtures your spiritual life but is also committed to the all-round growth and development of every individual. I serve in the Media Unit now and this has been a great space for me to use my skills and gifts for God’s workand an opportunity for me to grow into my full potential. Since I joined PGC, my relationship with God has grown significantly. I have come to understand what it truly means to be “God’s Child”—to trust that He is responsible for me and not be anxious about anything. Every message I hear in PGC is like a seed, growing into a firm foundation in my walk with God; as refreshing as dew from heaven. Each word I receive from God through His vessels at PGC has transformed my life. I admire the sense of community PGC provides; It has been invaluable, not only spiritually but academically as well. I have been inspired to push beyond my limits in my studies and to reach new heights that I once thought were impossible. Some of the events I enjoy most as a youth in PGC are: ‘Fresh Encounters’, ‘Word to Live by’, and the ‘Young Men’s Forum’. A big congratulations to PGC on her second anniversary and an even bigger one to the main church PPP on her 12th anniversary. Every experience in this family has been peculiar!
PECULIAR CONNECT
Peculiar Connect was founded in 2018 to address the settlement challenges faced by newcomers of African descent in Saskatchewan, Canada, including communication barriers, racial discrimination, and other support like airport pickup and employment readiness. The organization provides settlement and integration services to help immigrants and other Canadians thrive. It partners with communities, corporations, and the government to create positive, sustainable outcomes.
Peculiar Connect is open to everyone, not just church members, and hosts key events like tax assistance sessions, career talks, and newcomer information sessions. What started as information sessions and assisted settlement help with a few families has now helped and supported the settlement process for well over 300 immigrants.
Testimonials like that from Oliseh are not uncommon: “My landing at Saskatchewan would have been a tough one but for the ‘seniors’ on the Peculiar Connect group (the older residents). Their counsel and pieces of advice overtime gave me a soft landing, helping my family and I” - Oliseh.
Peculiar Connect was officially registered as a charity organization in 2023; while still recognized as one of the outreaches of Peculiar Nation, it has its own board of directors and operates with greater autonomy, being empowered to serve all newcomers to Saskatchewan regardless of race, ethnicity or faith affiliations.
For donations, partnerships or to volunteer, key contacts include Emeka Uwaechi, Gbenga Oni, and Segun Hassan. For more information, visit (https://www.peculiarconnect.com).
PPP Business SummitUnit
Established in 2022, the PPP Business Summit Unit has grown from just six volunteers to 23 dedicated persons. This arm of the church serves as a platform for career and business development, offering a space for community members to grow professionally and collaborate.
The mission of the PPP Business Summit Unit is to empower church members and the wider community by highlighting local and global business opportunities. The events are open to all, providing a venue for individuals to showcase their businesses, exchange ideas, and forge meaningful collaborations.
Our Events
To achieve these goals, we host quarterly breakfast meetings and an annual Career and Business Exhibition every summer. Our business exhibition has seen tremendous growth, expanding from 25 exhibitors in the first year to 35 in recent years. The exhibition attracts over 100 attendees, and our breakfast meetings draw between 30 and 70 participants per session.
Looking Ahead
As we continue to grow, we anticipate a 5% increase in exhibitors each year. With enhanced publicity and greater church involvement, we aim to see between 125 and 200 participants at our next exhibition.
Success Stories
Many attendees have reported business collaborations, investments, and personal growth following our events. Several participants have even launched their own businesses, while others have leveraged the exposure to expand their customer base.
SPORTS PECULIAR FC
Why Peculiar FC?
Glory to God for the salvation of our souls and for giving us this initiative to create a soccer team under the guidance of the Peculiar People’s Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG PPP).
Peculiar FC was set up in 2019, and the purpose of the initiative is to:
Serve as an outreach for the church to give back to the community.
Serve as an evangelical platform to reach out to young and mid-adults within the city. Help establish the presence of the church in the FC Regina league.
Help develop a team to compete not only in the league, but also at the Mini-Olympics and Annual Western Canada Games, organized by the RCCG during the summer season.
Contribute to the health and quality of life of our members. Key ongoing events from the unit (e.g., yearly, monthly, etc.)
Peculiar People’s Soccer League (PPSL) is an annual summer league organized by members of RCCG PPP. The summer league has been running for over three years. The league started in 2021 with approximately 50 members, and in 2024, there were over 120 registered community members (PPP and non-PPP members) participating in the league, and a WhatsApp group of over 350 members, that serves as a pool for interested members.
This is one of the unique ways the church gives back to the community and promotes godliness, respect, sportsmanship, unity, and community. PPSL assists newcomers to settle socially via soccer playtime and interaction on and off the field.
We have newcomers who got their first job through such interaction and information sharing on the WhatsApp platform
Peculiar FC has registered in both the Queen City League (QC) and FC Regina (FCR).
Our Victories
Peculiar FC won the QC adult league in 2021, won the Intermediate Division of FCR Men’s league in 2022, and was runners-up in the Semi-Competitive Division of FCR Men’s league in 2023. Peculiar FC also won the Inaugural Regina Christian Soccer Tournament in 2024.
