Artist Statement The theme for my work is Neon lights and the message is how neon lights can become the center of attention in darkness. We see this all the time at night when we look at businesses with advertisements to pop out to attract people. I wanted my work to be the same when you look at the photo's. The light is supposed to catch your eyes out of the dark surrounding and make you interested in the scene taking place in the image. The photos are chosen and then with photoshop, are made to present the final piece. I have always been fond of neon colors and using photo's to create something different and then the ideas come out of my mind. For each artwork I first pick out the pictures that I want to use to make the ideas in my head come to out on the computer. If the idea isn't working I go back to step one and look for more pictures. Then I use photoshop to edit, crop, brighten, darken, erase, and merge everything into a new work of art. I take the time to make sure that everything looks like a whole new photo ready to be presented to everyone and then grab your attention with bright colors.
