Importance Of

Culture Dedication Effort Commitment Diana Torres Ramirez Class of 2020

Artist Statement

I decided to capture a part of my Mexican culture through a lens because I wanted people to see a part of who I am. Each image has a story behind it, each has power and meaning, and it all ties back to my roots. One has to keep their mind open while viewing and try to understand the hard work each image represents. Having these factors in my life keeps me grounded. They make up half of my heart, while the other half is occupied by the American culture I have gotten to know.
