In the heart of Currumbin Valley, the Cow Pat Classic has long been more than just a tradition it's a celebration of community, history, and the spirit of giving This year, the 2024 Cow Pat Classic once again brought together locals for a day of fun, fundraising, and a shared commitment to supporting the Currumbin Valley State School (CVSS) With the generosity of local businesses and major sponsors Ken Jacob and Stephen Hay from Ray White Tugun, the event raised an incredible $13,500 for the school, proving once more that when a community unites, great things happen
The Cow Pat Classic, which predates many of us, has become the school's major annual fundraiser The funds raised play a crucial role in supporting various school initiatives, with one of the most significant being the funding of the school's Wellbeing Officer This role is vital to the students' social, emotional, and educational development The Wellbeing Officer works closely with students to improve their overall well-being, offering pastoral care, organising volunteer activities, and coordinating programs, excursions, and workshops Thanks to the P&C's efforts and the generous donations from businesses, CVSS can increase the hours and impact of this important role, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive
It has been an absolute honour to support the Cow Pat Classic for so many years Watching this event grow and seeing the direct impact it has on the students and the broader Currumbin Valley community fills us with immense pride.
