The investment market is getting very competitive with low levels of stock across South East Queensland as interstate investors are taking advantage of the higher yields in Queensland. Roughly 50% of enquiries that come through are from interstate buyers and the majority are willing to purchase assets sight unseen. Although our team isn’t based in Hervey Bay, we have a large investor database with clients across Australia that allows us to sell investment property outside of our core. We had a range of interest in this multitenanted asset and the purchaser ended up coming from Sydney and was able to view the asset between borders closures.
