Every wedding planner and savvy bride knows that all outdoor wedding festivities must come with a backup plan. No worries – in the case of bad weather, the future princess will still be riding in elaborate style fit for a queen. If it rains on April 29th, the Glass Coach that was used for the weddings of Queen Elizabeth in 1947, Princess Margaret in 1960 and Princess Diana in 1981 will be ready to roll in pristine condition. But let’s hope it doesn’t come to that since the reason the ride to the altar was switched from the Glass Coach to the State Landau Carriage in the first place was because it was too small to accommodate Princess Di’s large, ornate dress and crumpled her gown before the ceremony even began. Although the Glass Coach {built in 1881} is not actually made entirely of glass like Cinderella’s, it does have large windows that resemble similar fairytale appeal.

You, too, can ride in classic fairytale princess style by opting for a carriage as your wedding transportation, or even just for show as you approach the aisle walk. They also make for great post-ceremony photo ops! Take a little inspiration from these Real Wedding brides…
